Many senior and long-time staffers of the House Oversight Committee plan a walkout when Congressman Trey Gowdy takes the gavel over from Jason Chaffetz. Gowdy, who led the two-year House Benghazi probe, has secured near-unanimous support among members of the House Republican Steering Committee as well as Speaker Paul Ryan. Additionally, Jason Chaffetz has not been seen at work “for three months” and generally only appears when cameras are rolling.

My judgement is that they are total fail in everything, in every possible aspect.
I have never in my life seen anything more useless, pointless and worthless than the GOP.
The “security monitor” in the Lifelock commercial is more effective at monitoring than either of these two loathsome fools.

Really seems as if Chaffetz was blackmailed out of office. His behavior over the past year is just way too odd.

You could very well be right. Maybe the ball is squarely in the DOJ’s court to make the basket or fumble.

No hurry to get Gowdy on board, given history of lack of results. That being said, if he waits until everyone is seated until he enters the room, his first words should be something like “anyone who leaves before the meeting starts is deemed to have left their immediate resignation behind. If you leave, go clean out your desks.”
Very well said by both “doosee” and “Always A Marine”. It’s scary that so many on FR either don’t know or refuse to research the facts that the only power Gowdy has is to investigate and release his findings to the Justice Dept.
