Just 24 hours after being charged with assault for allegedly body-slamming a reporter in his Bozeman campaign office, Republican Greg Gianforte on Thursday defeated Democratic opponent Rob Quist to win the special election for the U.S. House seat in Montana. The race was thrust into the national spotlight in dramatic fashion on Wednesday night after Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs described being "body-slammed" by the GOP candidate, and a Fox News crew who witnessed the incident said the former technology and software executive "grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him." "I'm sick and tired of you guys," Gianforte said in audio of the event released by The Guardian. Jacobs told "Good Morning America" Thursday morning, "I went from being vertical one moment to being horizontal the next."

That version of events is already being walked back by Alicia Acuna, the Fox News reporter.
Why? Probably because the other members of the crew would not back up her story.
There is no videotape of the event. Notice that the reporter who claims to have been assaulted, Ben Jacobs, is quoted as saying:
“I went from being vertical one moment to being horizontal the next.”
I have looked for more descriptions of the event from Jacobs, but I have not found any of a neck grab, or of being punched, as Alicia Acuna said happened in her initial “eye witness” account.
If anyone else has a quote from Jacobs, saying he was neck grabbed or punched, I would like to see it.
The probability was, that he had the election won on the early voting anyway. This was just icing on the cake....
But why would some 43% of the voters in Montana vote for the fake cowboy “poet” anyway? He is the very picture of the pantie waste California transplant spirit that has been polluting Montana for the past forty or fifty years.
Just read the ABC story...No where did they admit that FOX people recanted the neck grab....
On the one hand, this must feel like the jury nullification of the black community in LA over OJ. The other side ALWAYS gets away with sh** like this. They have full on (unconvicted) felons running, murderers even, and get elected to high office. So we got this one guy who creamed a reporter.
On the other hand, assault is not ok even if “our guy” does it. He should at least have to spend 2 minutes in some penalty box. And then head to D.C. And tackle more reporters...
So, is he going to pay for the reporter’s glasses...?

This seems to have been the sentiment of the voters as well as that of
Giantforte.
the media can’t understand how this could happen. They still don’t believe we have no respect for them because they lie. I’m beginning to think maybe they don’t lie on purpose, maybe they are just too dumb to be able to recognize the truth. I’d feel sorry for them if they weren’t so snotty and arrogant.
Trump should pardon him. The MSM would might like a story like that.
My take on this situation is this. Had there been a video of the whole incident--including the in your face attitude of the news jerk, Gianforte would have won by double digits, percentage-wise. That the reports were a bit garbled probably kept the vote down.
I hope that they keep beating the Republicans like this cycle after cycle.
Brett Baier and his panel last night played the Fox reporterette’s version and nothing was mentioned about her walking it back. I’ve noticed lately that Baier has moved to the anti-Trump side of the fence.
I don’t know if this is true or not, I didn’t waste the time to vet this RAT, but have heard that he is a nudist, among other things...fits right in with the RAT PARTY...
I really don’t believe in fighting, but I have never backed down from one, you hit me or touch me when I don’t want you to, you will find yourself on the ground wondering how you got there...

Later today I am going to be working on who is running in 2018, give some insight on what they have done and if we can get them out if they are ‘money grabbers’ not doing anything for our Country...
