"Sanctuary cities lose access to federal grants that require complying with federal immigration law cue the histrionics"
Late on Monday, Attorney General Jeff Session issued a memorandum to all the grant-making components within the Justice Department cutting off any grants to sanctuary jurisdictions. In what will no doubt be a surprise to many in the media who misinterpreted the April injunction issued by Judge William Orrick (an Obama appointee) in the lawsuit filed by the City of San Francisco and Santa Clara County, Sessions action complies fully with that order.
The May 22 memorandum outlines that any city or county applying for a Department of Justice (DOJ) grant administered by the Office of Justice Programs and the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services that requires the applicant to certify compliance with all federal laws will not be eligible for a grant if they are a sanctuary jurisdiction. A sanctuary jurisdiction is defined as any city or county that willfully refuse[s] to comply with 8 U.S.C. §1373.

The Trump admin should beat them to the punch by taking it to a friendly judge who can rule it’s legal.
Agree. Don’t know why they haven’t done that.
But no libtard judge will rule against USDOT Seat belt regulations and federal highway funds extortion.
Another campaign promise fulfilled!
Another judge will stop this.
Dems fight for every inch. Meanwhile, the GOP (sans POTUS) preemptively surrenders.
Has Sessions woke from his months-long slumber? Haven’t heard a word about him since his recusal.
Was your comment in jest? He’s not a very impressive candidate and I regret that Trump made him AG.
On with changing the corrupt political culture.
Is there a list of all sanctuary cities.
today Home Depot sent two non English speaking workers to install carpet in my home.
I have never had Mexican workers show up in all the extensive work I have had done on properties all these years. I was shocked.
Finally. Sessions must have been prodded. Hope it was Trump. Thus far a rather weak start for justice.
I doubt they were from Home Depot. HD usually subcontracts these jobs out and the subcontractor sends them. Did you ask to see their right to work in the USA?
Step by step, we’ll get there!
For me it’s like simple math. You can no sooner violate the rules of basic math than live without eating, drinking or breathing.
The absolute retards, morons, idiots and just plain bad people that allow criminal acts to slip by while innocents get harmed does not compute. It hurts to even hear of it.
The fact that 50% of humans are just plain stupid is not promising.
And BTW, I consider FR members to be above the median or I would not be here.
There is the money for the wall Mr. President.
But I can t drive 55
There were reports, but due to ICE errors the reports were canceled in mid April.
It is nonsense. Call me when the Attorney General(Chief Law enforcement official) says he is going to enforce these laws. Shamelessly Stolen from Freeper eyeamok.

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.
Finally some one who agrees with me. Rush read the provision in the original Reagan amnesty bill that provided for victims to sue cities and states that allowed the things to happen.
