On July 10, at 4:19 a.m., gunfire was detected in the District's Bloomingdale neighborhood. Not five minutes later, police found Seth Rich, a 27-year-old Democratic National Committee staffer, lying on the ground, dying from a bullet wound to his back. A conscious Rich was transported to the hospital; by daybreak, he was dead.
Nearly one year later, Rich's death remains one of America's thousands of unsolved murders and the focus of endless conspiracy theories, spread this past week by Fox News, alt-right social media, a local D.C. news station and the Russian embassy in Britain. The reemergence of the conspiracy theory this week, which did not lack for real news, revealed plenty about the fake news ecosystem (or to use BuzzFeed's useful phrase, the upside-down media) in the Trump era. It also happened to cause untold pain for the Rich family, which has sent a cease-and-desist letter to the so-called private investigator who led this dive back into the fever swamp.

Here's what we learned.
TV news can be an easy mark. This iteration of the Seth Rich story started when the District's own Fox 5 ran a Monday night exclusive, citing one source a Fox New legal commentator, Rod Wheeler for a big break in the investigation. Reporter Marina Marraco reported that conspiracy theories could be proven right, as Wheeler was saying what had been rumored since last year: Rich might have leaked DNC emails to WikiLeaks, making him the target of an assassination.
You have information that could link Seth Rich to WikiLeaks? asked Marraco.
Absolutely. Yeah. That's confirmed, said Wheeler,

Seth Rich really was a DNC staffer who worked in IT and had access to the e-mails.
Seth Rich really was murdered after the e-mails were leaked.
Those parts cannot be fake news.
The stage has been set by Drudge, Newt and Hannity... President Trump is out of town.
Drain the Swamp.
Craig Murray. No friend of Donald Trump and a Jeremy Corbyn supporter.
“It’s not fake news...Seth Rich was murdered by a person hired by John Podesta...there is a wiki leaks that proves he did it...”
Then post the link.
“Why would WikiLeaks offer a reward for information leading to the arrest of Seth Richs killer if they had no prior relationship with him?”
It’s a good question, but then again, wikileaks has done plenty of odd stuff just for publicity.
“At least this story has a named source.”
Not really, because Marraco was just repeating second hand information without naming his supposed source.
Somebody knows who shot the poor guy. Especially the gunman. Is the gunman still alive?? These are all questions the family MUST be asking.

...and now this.
If this was a cattledrive, I’d say we’re just about to have a h*** of a stampede.
(BTW, there’s a Reddit link in that first post that made my browser go half sideways. Treat it with caution. “Somebody” out there doesn’t seem to like that thread.)
“The fact that theyre even reporting on it would indicate that panic is setting in.”
This is the part that is curious to me. Why do they feel compelled to attack the credibility of a “fake news” story unless they actively desire exert influence over the story itself.
saying “There is nothing to see here” is a paradox. You wouldn’t need to say it if it was true.
If he was a Bernie fan and a risk taker, leaking DNC e-mails to Wikileaks would not be inconsistent. He was definitely murdered, he seems to have had the motive and opportunity and he could have been a Wikileaks source.
The two events might or might not be connected but the proximity of the two events certainly raises questions.
Nobody is suggesting that either Hillary or Podesta was there with a smoking gun. Their "fake news" is a straw man.
Moreover, Kimdot.com is claiming that he actually worked with Rich on the leaks. He will be issuing a statement on Tuesday, presumably with some kind of proof. I expect to hear from Kimdot.com on a Hannity show. With Hannity and Newt mentioning this story along with the local Fox TV news, it has moved from the underground, "conspiracy" realm to MSM. The WP story is a reflection of that. It needs to be addressed and labeled fake news now before more info comes out.
Your post points out why I feel like we are living Dr. Zivago but without the love story. So I’m just arming up and becoming more self sufficient (I took this seriously enough to, back in 2008, buy 12 - now 32 - acres in central KY).
The problem is not the politicians. The problem is the voters that elect them. And they usually have to learn things the hard way.
SEIU thugs under the control of the DNC..............
No mention of Assange, which is the tell that the article is a smokescreen.
Assange has commented and expressed concern over Rich. You cannot overlook that if you are saying the whole story is bogus.
By the way, how many white guys are getting randomly gunned down in DCs tony neighborhoods, and their wallets are still intact.
This whole story is too convenient. No real investigation. Where is his computer? Where is the info from the DC police who were told to stand down.
Keep looking.
Just ask Larry Nichols.
He claims to have murdered people under orders from the Clinton’s.
You would think that if someone wants to admit to murders, the police would take an interest. But no, no one seems too concerned, because it involves the Clinton’s (and probably the DNC)
I would be very happy to see those two indicted for something.. anything. The main thing she seems to have learned from law school is how to avoid getting caught.
