Folks need to understand that the trend now is modesty.....higher necklines are now Vogue.
However..... with Melania it must be noted that she often draws her ‘color choices’ from the nation she is visiting or hosting....Melania is speaking politically through her style and color choices....
Her black pants suit represented the black burqa with a huge fashion twist...a statement of what it could be.......the gold belt , intersting enough, was the female version of the Saudi Royal Guards sword and holder...of which Trump actually was drawn to when he saw the guards and made it known he was impressed.
Her Fusia gown’s color is very popular in Saudi..but it had a Royal affect Melania certainly pulled off.
And I will repeat In the ME culture, (and asia as well) the physical attractiveness of the wife is ‘a big measure of the man’s status’.......
I always refer to him as Vagina Hayes.
I thought she looked very elegant and appropriate. I would have liked the belt to be a little less wide...

Perhaps they are ugly to you, but they are nothing new! Styles run in cycles and simply have different names. I wore what you would call a boob belt in the early 1950’s, like most girls, but nobody would have been so crude or rude to label the wide belt a “boob belt” at the time. Crass and crude is today’s requirement for most anything.

Oh absolutely.....Michelle lacked inner beauty as we often saw reflected in so many photos that makeup and hairdos cannot hide.
To make my point of Melania’s clothes and color....now at the Opening of the Saudi Center she wears a white suite and black shirt....which reflects the headpieces of the Muslim leaders...as well as the white of the royal guard.....the fact it is a business suit also reflects her “equality” with the men wearing suits.
It really is astounding how her choices are very specific and with a message....the woman is very smart...something she does not flaunt by any means......but she is none the less speaking volumes in her style.
...and it is obvious the Arabs have taken note of the respect she has shown....
My wife's closets take up half the bedroom and I would need a moving truck to take it all away. I can toss my entire wardrobe into the back seat of a car and move away today if I wanted to.
Melania is the sort of woman who would look just as good in jeans and a blouse as she does in these elaborate costumes. Women do dress in very complicated ways.

I am simply amazed how she is speaking volumes without saying a word just by how she dresses.
Men also make fashion statements in the business world....By their choice of a watch, the ring they wear and even the type of business card they use.....the higher up in the pecking order the more significant this becomes.
When it comes to suits....what matters is how many buttons...flapped or not....size of the lapels....sleeve buttons.......and similar to shirts.....the collar is the tell all if one is up to date or not..as is the size of the tie.
please.. my mother wore the wide belts that were in the 50’s but these are twice as wide.. i recall them...yes im that old
