My service club had a passioned plea by a former FBI assistant director in favor of Rogers a few days ago. He suggested we individually push for his appointment as he was a former investigator. He said one of the greatest problems with the FBI in modern times is many of the directors have had no or very little investigative background and very little supervisory experience to boot. He went down the list back to Nixon and said there should be no marriage between being the head of the FBI and a prosecutor or former judge as their functions are different. Obviously he was alluding to the Comey mess with the Clinton matter. With 30 years experience myself, I agree with everything he said.
