What is it about pit bulls that they attract so many lousy owners?
Even great owners don’t have control. My BIL has a pit mix. That sucker of a dog is great one second, then (in one case), nipped my fingertips the next. I was literally just standing, no odd movements AT ALL. It just wanted to snap on my fingers. That was the last time my kids were anywhere near it, unattended, and it’s no longer welcome at our house.
Something about pitbulls/pitbull mixes that make people CRAZY!! I want them extinct!!
LOL!
Seems like Labs, Dachshunds, and Terriers have the best owners.
Pit Bulls are for meth-heads and trailer park trash.

That would be their lethal appearance. My middle-aged neighbor lady, a widow, has a small one, that looks like a fire ant. Skinny, with an outsized head. I hate that thing, the way it looks at me and lunges at my dog. Maybe it makes her feel safe. Maybe she loves it because it loves only her.
When they attack, they rip and destroy. They go for the lower jaw and try to tear it off the head. No baby could survive that.
Mind you, my cousin is quadriplegic, and has kept as many as four pits at a time, because she lives in a bad neighborhood, and she loves those dogs, and never had any problems.
Owing a pit bull is a passive-aggressive way for cowards to express hostility towards their neighbors. The pitbull incident in our neighborhood involved the notorious jail-bait family two streets over. That family had a fight with everyone they encountered, and were frequently drunk and disorderly (this was a dense city neighborhood), with many police visits to their house.
One day their pugnacious teenager took their pitbull into the children's playground in the public park, carried the pitbull up the 7-foot sliding board ladder and pushed the dog from the top down the slide. When the dog got to the bottom and fell off, he immediately jumped up and ran to the nearest 3-year-old sitting on a bench with her nanny and bit the child in the spinal column.
