Trump deals with gravest crisis yet (Rat and MSM high drama alert)
The Hill ^ | May 11, 2017 | Niall Stanage

President Trump is grappling with the gravest controversy of his presidency as the storm kicked up by his firing of FBI Director James Comey rumbles on.

An atmosphere of crisis enveloped Washington in the first full day after the firing, which was announced Tuesday.

Cable news shows were thick with talk of a constitutional crisis and comparisons to the Watergate scandal of the early 1970s that brought down President Richard Nixon.

On Capitol Hill, the fissures in the Republican Party over the episode were plain, with some prominent GOP lawmakers hitting Trump’s actions and others backing him up. Democrats, meanwhile, were united - and calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to further investigate potential links between Trump’s 2016 campaign associates and Russia.

The minority party also began to slow Senate proceedings to a crawl in protest of the president's actions.

And the early evening, it emerged that the Senate Intelligence Committee had issued a subpoena for Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn. The subpoena requested "documents relevant to the Committee’s investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 election."

Trump, never inclined to de-escalate, instead turned the temperature up even more via his Twitter account.

This should dispel any “concerns” the concern trolls have about Trump going wishy-washy.....Trump must have brushed up his skills by reading “The Art of War” .... I believe he may be able to write a new chapter for it...

It’s bizarre to watch their antics (concerning a story or more likely non story like this) from a distance particularly since it has been a long time since I last seriously paid any attention to what the establishment media has had to say.

The Nixon scandal was about bugging and spying on political opponents, like Obama truly did on Trump during the election. Russia is just the weak, made up excuse to cover for the real Nixonian spy scandal of the Dems.

...because no President, ever, in history, has fired anyone?

I’ll bet that when Bill Clinton was inaugurated and not only fired everyone in the White House travel office, but pressed [fake] criminal charges against them, making their lives miserable for no reason except political gain, the author of this piece was completely uninterested.

We do not help the situation by giving any credence to the media propaganda machine. Breathless rants like this should be laughed at, not discussed as if they are serious.

...like Obama truly did on Trump during the election.

I suspect that Obama spied on Romney, as well.

For what it's worth, when I saw "All the President's Men," I came away convinced that Nixon was innocent and that "Watergate" was nothing more than a contrived scandal. Truly, when compared with just about anything Democrats do, Watergate was a huge nothing burger.

"Watergate was a huge nothing burger."

And yet, the MSM and all the other lib flacks make sure to slap the "gate" suffix on anything they can when it involves a republican.

Like a child throwing a tantrum, Leftists hope if they scream loud enough and long enough they’ll get what they want; Hillary “installed” as president by some magical extra-constitutional means.

Drudge has to put out the occasional lefty article so he doesn’t appear to be Trumpist. I cut him slack. He does enough for the Right to be proud of. He has to st least appear to walk the line. He knows the swamp is full of worthless sh&@

When the raw material for commentary boards comprises opinion and propoaganda disguised as "news", it's guaranteed the raw material will be mostly misleading garbage. "The borg" of the press and DEM party is all about advancing the narrative.
