Has Patterson? So many potboilers are getting churned under his franchise with collaborators that I wonder when he himself last put pen to paper.

Have you read anything by Patterson?

I have picked up a few of his books here and there - airport bookshops mostly.

I can usually read almost anything on an airplane to make the time go by but I never finished one of Patterson's books.

I was never able to get more part way through before I gave up.

There was just something about his style that I found disconcerting.

But I know some people that love his books.

Whenever I see his name, I think, "Oh yeah. The guy who wrote The Notebook.

But apparently, he isn't.
