The CEO of Second Call Defense (Sean Maloney) is on
Lock And Load Radio every Wednesday, and occasionally visits the guys on the
WeLikeShooting podcast. I'm kind of brand loyal to self defense insurance.
I started out using the
Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network but switched to SCD when I heard Mr. Maloney talk about it.
NRA Carry Guard offers a million for civil protection, SCD is unlimited.
SCD also offers crime scene cleanup, 20 therapy sessions, compensation while in court, etc.
NRACG doesn't show that much information about their plan.
Whatever company you choose to go with, READ ALL OF THE FINE PRINT!
Some of them will only reimburse your expenditures AFTER you've been acquitted. Some will simply give you a list of lawyers.
Investigate them thoroughly before signing up.

In your haste you didn’t notice the word ‘legal’.

Yes, Alex and Mikey. Your home is your castle in civilized states in the USA.
And in those states you don’t have to try to run away.
You can feel free to use force to defend yourself from those who would do you and your family harm without fear.

The $20,000 is the average cost for a simple defense to your lawyer if you shoot someone.

Okay, this is questionable:
FAQ Does this program pay for the bond if I am charged with a crime for the use of a gun?
No.

Texans ought to pay less than residents of other states that are not as friendly legally to claims of self-defense as our laws are.

“The local (Oregon) CC instructor says to plan on $20,000 for clear and simple self defense.”
I live near DC, and I got legal insurance because around here it will cost you $100 to just look at a lawyer and $500 if you just say “hello”.

In your haste you didnt notice the word legal. Oh, I noticed it, but was more interested in zeroing in on the larger point, which is that our rights do not descend from man - they descend from God.

Competition with USCCA. That should drive the price down a tad.

I already have Law Shield, I’ll compare the two and see which one provides the best service. Makes perfect sense for any armed citizen.

Could you please post here what the benefits are? Their site doesn’t give too many details.

.
With proper laws, this “insurance” would be completely unnecessary.
Lets change laws rather than enrich the enemy.
Bleed the beast.

USCCA has been doing this for a few years.
I thought GOA offered it too, but didn't see any signs during a quick scan of their site.

Heard an ad on the radio yesterday.
CCWSAFE.com
Legal help for defensive shooting. IIRC it was $130/yr..... $10/mo.
I haven’t looked into it yet, traveling.
