I wonder if this rescue tool is popular in California, New York, Maryland, and New Jersey?

A nice added feature might be a small light, so it would be convenient to carry in dark parking lots.

Once I pulled the pin on my emergency services training, I basically stopped researching, buying and testing things like this tool (I knew in my heart that I had reached the point - physically - where I was as likely to inhibit a search or rescue than ensure its success, thus I reluctantly but adamantly bowed out). I have a couple of things I keep in the car that this might be able to replace in a more compact and comprehensive manner.
I mostly remember Choate for the folding stocks that many of us installed on 10/22 rifles back in the '80's; I haven't thought about them for some time.

I wonder if it is legal there.
Looks to have some valuable alternate uses.

It doesn’t look lethal, I don’t know why it would be illegal.

Mrs. L and I both keep a Swiss Army Rescue Tool in our cars. Pricey but well worth it.

I wonder if this rescue tool is popular in California, New York, Maryland, and New Jersey? If you get a chance to run into Garth Choate, you'll find he's a genuine nice guy and a heck of a machinist. I used one of his PDW sidefolding stocks on an H&K MP5K and far prefer it to any of the H&K offerings.
So far as his tools, since I mostly run a pickup truck in Wintertime, I really need a ice chipper with a longer handle. And by way of an emergency tool inside, I have a big flat metal prybar with a handle that's even pointed on one end and so can get through either windshield glass or side door sheet metal.
