The US president Donald Trumps upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia will enhance cooperation between the United States and Muslim countries in the fight against extremism, the kingdoms foreign minister said.
Describing the visit as historic, Adel Al Jubeir said Mr Trumps time in Saudi Arabia would include a bilateral summit, a meeting with Arab Gulf leaders and another with leaders of Arab and Muslim countries.
"Its a clear and powerful message that the US harbours no ill will" toward the Arab and Muslim world, he said.
"It also lays to rest the notion that America is anti-Muslim. Its a very clear message to the world that the US and the Arab Muslim countries can form a partnership," Mr Al Jubeir said.
"It will lead to, we believe, enhanced cooperation between the US and Arab and Islamic countries in combating terrorism and extremism, and it will change the conversation with regards to Americas relationship with the Arab and Islamic world."(continued)

Back when I went to that part of the world, the State Department recommended no Bible and no Cross. So I complied.
That did NOT stop from praying, however!!!!
Prayer is HIGHLY recommended when one walks into the muslim’s den, and those of us left behind should pray for President Trump and his entourage when he does so!!!!
Totally unacceptable to the Democrats.
gross. they just got complete control over a major oil/gas refinery in TX...sad
Will Trump have to surrender his Bible at the airport when he enters Saudi?

Wow is that what they do in Saudi Arabia? Take away Christians’ Bibles? Was not aware if true. :(

Careful what you wish for...
We don’t need any more Chobanis :(
Guarantee there will be no bowing.
Get caught with a Bible and they might cut your head off.
I wonder how long the jannissaries for credit scheme will hold out.
There is no more vile nation in the world than Saudi Arabia. We will regret being their minion.
Isis are headhunters and one major head that ISIS is after is the Saudi Royal family. There is no love lost between ISIS and Saudi.

That is what happens when weak owners can’t control their attack dogs.
Obama made Shia powerful and now Trump will do with Sunni.
Next will be , let Shia n Sunni duke it out.
PRyno too. Especially when it comes to The Budget.
Wow, I knew they did not let women drive...I had no idea they would behead for possessing a Bible.
Wonder how this whole “My enemy’s enemy is my friend” program is going to play out in the long run :(
I highly doubt Trump travels anywhere with a Bible.
Obama bowed to Ji and got a couple Nork nuke tests in return. Trump told China they can have some reprieve on currency and we got Chinese troops on the Nork border, Nork coal ships turned around, etc. Trump asks for stuff and gets it, he will ask the Saudis to stop whatever Obama told them was ok to do (e.g. support ISIS)
The Saudis are mortal enemies of Iran. Trump will get what he wants from the Saudis. The Iranians are in real trouble.
I know it from personal experience. They throw the bibles all on a big pile. They will also remove religious jewelry.
Making a publicity silk purse out of realistically a sows ear.
We should not be playing favorites in the religious sectarian division, and proxy wars, between the uber-fundamentalist radical Shia Muslim mullahs of Tehran, and radical uber-fundamentalist Wahabi-Sunnis of Saudi Arabia.
Philosophically there is not six degrees of separation between the two, and neither is seeking to build in or out of their country a society and culture we can ourselves embrace.
We have been Saudi Arabia’s friend for decades, in their own eyes they have never been ours.
They - the Saudis, religiously, are closer to the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS than all other Muslims except their own religious enemies, the mullahs of Tehran.
The World will someday be entirely Muslim, but women will be allowed to drive. :-/
