Former Blaze TV host Tomi Lahren, now finished with a lawsuit against former employer The Blaze, says she's open to working for Fox News "as long as I could be me" in an interview with Playboy magazine published Tuesday.
When asked if she would work at Fox News, Lahren called it "the mecca" of conservative media.
"Of course I would. I mean, thats the mecca," the 24-year-old said.
"But I dont care what the outlet is," she continued. "I would work for MSNBC if I could be me and be authentic and genuine, and do what I do."
Media insiders feel Fox News is the most obvious choice for the outspoken conservative to land, with Newsmax TV and a rumored new conservative network being two other possibilities.
"Thats the thing about me: I can learn and I can grow, but youre not getting some empty vessel that you can make with it what you want. I think Ive proven time and time again that Im not easily tamed. I would consider going anywhere. But I just want to be able to pursue whats next. I want the freedom to find that out." Lahren sued The Blaze and owner Glenn Beck in early April after a dispute over a March appearance on ABC's "The View," during which Lahren said she is pro-abortion rights and criticized conservative anti-abortion activists. Beck and The Blaze eventually countersued Lahren.
But the two sides settled their cases for undisclosed terms Monday, releasing Lahren from the remaining five months of her contract. Lahren will retain control of her Facebook page, which has millions of followers and became popular for its clips of Lahren's viral, frequently controversial "Final Thoughts" segment.
Lahren is now able to pursue new employment regardless if the network competes with The Blaze.
Ms. Lahren is relieved to have this litigation behind her, her attorney Brian Lauten said in a statement.
She looks forward to connecting with her audience and fan base on the pressing political issues facing our country in the days to come.
The Blaze said a statement Monday that it is pleased to announce that the relationship with Tomi Lahren has concluded.
Oy.
Too little too late, Tomi. Fox is already shedding its supposedly “fair and balanced” approach to the realities of the world, and they have waged war against the original precepts of the network. All in the names of the Young Turks who have inherited the Murdoch dynasty.
if Sean walks (which he told his staff today he wouldn’t), Tomi could be the one...
“Yeah, I mean, even a settlement of $1 million or so would be super useful. Oh, am I getting ahead of myself???”
one million buys a lot of jean shorts..
FWIW, she isn’t covered in ‘tats’ ...YET....
BTW, what you can’t see in ones ‘normal’ day to day ops, can’t ‘hurt’ you.....or shouldn’t offend....
“Open?”
She’s been clearly campaigning for a Fox News gig for a long while now.
She’s way too young, way too green, and isn’t past the “bullet point” school of conservative thinking.
I think she’s better suited to podcasts, or small city weather reports.
Well from what I understand she likes lawsuits, has blond hair, she might fit in.
I think I’d start watching!
Hair’s not bleached enough..
Perfect place for another blonde bimbo interested in sexual harrasment allegations.
FNC is going to be hiring ugly liberal females from now on.
Or a highly polished chrome pole in a softly lit gentleman’s club
Just what Faux Needs. Another fake blonde.
"Like, you know, if like I could be genuine and you know, be me and stuff. . . "
Another pro-abort at Fox? They need that like a drowning man needs an anchor.
“as long as I could be me” So it was all about herself, nothing else. Another bleached blonde bimbo brain.
