The Scots still a little uptight about that sorta thing? In America, it’s just a fact. Lotsa Blacks in the Carolinas have my mother’s (Scottish) maiden name. Probably quite a few related to me. It is what it is.

Even up to that time, they held grudges against the catholics around the cities. There were areas where the catholics were not welcome.

AND they had the guts to preach to us Americans how hate full we were. I pointed the little fact back at em about the catholics and they didnt like it.

One other thing. DONT ever got bar hopping with the Aussies and N Zeds. That is, unless you can drink a huge amount and not get puking drunk.

Whisky and beer. ALL night long. And when I say beer..not lager. Beer over there is dark and ale is ale, and lager is lager. What we call beer is lager over there.

Per my personal experience with the Scots in Old Blighty, they have no qualms with their black American cousins. When I was there, they treated me like family.
