The better of two evil? Gezzuz...That kind of strategy looted the American treasure, destroyed our sovereignty, opened the flood gates for millions to enter illegally, bloated government continued to grow and they created trade laws only our enemies love.

Ya probably missed it but it was 8 years of Bush which brought us Obamba. Did ya think if Bush were even a half way decent president he would have been replaced by the likes of Obama? If so, think again.

Yeah, well, ya probably missed it, but Jesus Christ wasn’t — and hasn’t ever been — on the ballot and your fave rave didn’t get past the Primaries either time. So ya had Bush in the general and that’s all ya had. Does ZERO good to bitch and howl about it now; it’s academic and nothing more.

As for “the lesser of two evils” being any sort of strategy — no, it’s not a strategy; it’s a survival mechanism. Faced with two untenable options, you pick the one that’ll do you the least damage. That’s the bind the Establishment GOP handed us to work with in ‘00 and ‘04, and there weren’t serious Conservatives then equipped to compete with the Establishment pick. Their favorite, McCain, took a dive to the canvas to pitch the fight to Obastard in ‘08, and they responded by propping up the feckless and unconservative “Obama Lite” Romney in ‘12.

So, whaddya gonna do? Unless you can get your guy into the Primary and boost him to victory, you’re always left with the choice to either vote for the lesser of two evils or capitulate to fate and stay home on the couch, which will most often get you the worst of the two evils so THAT doesn’t make sense. No ya go out, hold your nose, grit your teeth, and vote to swerve the country into the Subaru instead of the Mack truck, and you survive to try to do better in another four years.

It’s a battle. It’s a grind. It’s ugly. And unless there’s a third party with real power to overcome, it’s the way the Establishment-dominated two-party system operates to keep the American people repressed.

And now — coffee.
