I don't see how anything will be different in Sept.

Why is it better to push the inevitable battle out till then?

What is gained?

I know what's been lost: momentum, support from the base, and integrity.

This is a rancid PR loss and is very bitter to those who have supported this admin.

We’re still in Obama’s fiscal yesr. Yes, the Democrats will always get hysterical over a GOP budget, but in this case *al* we’d hear is how Trump is getting ahead of himself and co-opting a budget he’s not supposed to be in charge of. [With a more even-handed press, it could be pointed out that the blame falls on Obama and Congress, for doing CRs instead of budgets. But we have a press whose bias borders on psychotic; they would rather die of aneurysms than give Trump anything approaching fairness.]

They’ll all get excited in Sept as well, but at that point it will be legally and unquestionably ***Trump’s*** budget. He will have far more (perceived) authority over his own fiscal year than he’d have been granted over Obama’s.

It might not seem crucial, but that’s only because we weren’t subjected to the screaming and screeching of the Democrats and MSM. They won’t be much happier in Sept, but at least they won’t be quite as apoplectic.

I see you’ve learned nothing from the travel ban fiasco. Shutting down the government now with so many Obama appointees still in government is a recipe for disaster.
