Rex Tillerson makes his first trip to the UN to chair a Security Council meeting on North Korea. The US chairs the Security Council for the month of April. Other nations sending foreign ministers to the meeting are Britain, China, Japan, and South Korea. U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will brief the council during the meeting.

end of meeting....
Do you have any followup? I don’t see any confirming reports, including from BBC’s Twitter.
“We will not negotiate our way back to the negotiating table.”
He heard what I heard that the majority are for sanctions..but they want the negotiations to begin....Tillerson isn't interested in talk without action by N.Korea first to dismantle. Meanwhile they will be upping the sanctions...and S.Korea says these are showing already to "bite".
Not yet.....am just wrapping up the UN meeting so haven’t looked further...I always watch who is talking to who even after it’s dismissed.
They’re showing the podium so i suspect Tillerson or someone is going to speak ....will see....
Berlin, Mafia hit, man dead, VW passat
Thanks for the clarification. You could have said Tillerson and Haley need to coordinate their talking points.
I think we’re going to hit their nuke missile facilities. This is going to get hot.
Trump has made clear he’s giving China time to get this done...how long is the question of the hour...
I will not be surprised if we hit their missile facilities ...time is what’s in play now...they’ve all made their positions known so we shall see.
Senates been spoken with....Security Council now a wrap....they’ve gone through the entire process so we will certainly see I suspect in not too long a time.
Meanwhile I’ve been listening to the Representative of the Un Sec. General putting a wrap on the meeting and answering questions to just a hand full of journalists...
What a dip wad this man is! No wonder the Un does nothing if this idiot is any reflection of those who speak for the authorities there.....my gosh a high school senior could do better than this guy...and without all the personal quips he’s interjecting.....
Yes, they’re carefully putting everything in place. Next will be an ultimatum to NK, evacuation of military dependents and other American and other country’s civilians.
Japan had better contribute militarily.
FYI....
Tillersons speech on N.Korea at UN this morning.....we can be proud as can be this man speaks as he does...

Yes...generally calls for people to leave a country follows..however anybody currently in N.Korea is already in danger as we recently have seen they love to use hostages..
Tillerson has also mentioned that S. Korea has to pay as well...for the use of the missile defense recently placed there.
This is clearly showing Trump means what he says when nations need to pay for our protection...no more free rides. However i think it’s really just to give hi the leverage he wants to deal with.....that’s how he works...he throws things out there to get their attention and then once he gets it, which is always right away, then he sets the rest of the way he wants things to go.
What a contrast with low life wimp puke elite Kerry.
When Trump listed Tillerson as a possible selection to his administration I did a pretty thorough check on the man. I was very impressed from the get go. I listened to him speak regarding oil and natural resources, interviews, and the issues of climate change and the like....he's extraordinarily level headed and makes certain he understands before he arrives at his conclusions, and he's willing to explain how he arrived at these. I was sold on the man by the man himself!
I also did some research and you are exactly right. He is very impressive. His perspective on things is right on. He’s probably the best choice for Sec. State in our life time.
....”He is very impressive. His perspective on things is right on. Hes probably the best choice for Sec. State in our life time.”.....
Absolutely....
Thanks so much for the updates.
Caww — many thanks for your detailed postings of the UN Sec Council! Much appreciated.
Wish I could have done better...I kept loosing the feed....unfortunately I’m using vista and the tech industry is all but leaving me in the woods of late....Opera helps but still getting it tweaked to suite.
Someone mentioned going to Linux....but that’s a whole system.. so way over my head.
Alas maybe the birthday fairy will see fit to bring me a new computer! Which seems to be the only real solution...LOL
