As Fox News is roiled by lawsuits and the ouster of Bill OReilly, the networks co-president Bill Shine has retained the backing of the Murdochs. On Monday, Rupert Murdoch took network co-presidents Shine and Jack Abernethy to lunch at Marea, a seafood restaurant near Foxs midtown headquarters a highly public show of support.
But privately, Shine is expressing concern about his future at the network. According to three sources briefed on the conversations, Shine has told friends he recently asked Ruperts sons James and Lachlan the CEO and co-chairman, respectively, of network parent company 21st Century Fox to release a statement in support of him, but they refused to do so. The sources said Shine made the request because of withering press coverage of Fox News in recent weeks. A source added that Shine has privately complained that Rupert isnt fighting for him in the press, which is why he wanted explicit support from the sons.

Ping...
‘Huey and Lewie’(the sons) Murdoch will get to Shine eventually.
What happened to Duey?
Sure looks like someone is trying to destroy FOX News. Its more than a sharp left turn. Its a sharp left turn off a cliff.
There seems to be no difference in Fox News and BO’Bs administration. They might be living in parallel universes
With no discipline, no strong leadership, they do what they wish fearing no consequences. Put me in a closet and turn out the lights. To my recollection, I’d never heard or seen Shine, yet he has been there since inception. Last man leaving, turn out the lights.
Guess it’s not circling the bowl fast enough for the uniparty...
Well; it was a good network while it lasted and it was there at a critical time.
There will be another to rise and take its place if it veers any more leftward.
We could use another one or two anyway... Why should the insane left have 10 and us just one. Howabout we even up them odds some!?
BORs lawsuits must be hitting them soon, and Andrea Tantaros won’t negotiate in arbitration.
Perhaps the Murdochs are thinking a change at the very top for damage control.
With their talent leaving or being “let go”, so will their earnings.
The Murdoch sons will have to take a lot of the blame when FOX earnings take a big hit, regardless of the sexual harassment charges which might have something to do with the future (soon?) downfall of FOX.
The biggest winners of the BOX debacle will be liberals all over the land, and no!!!, not MSNBC or CNN, which will still get their sorry low number of viewers, since the FOX viewers will not migrate their viewing to those heavily biased fake news liberal stations.
