Newly released police documents claim that Dr. David Dao, the passenger who was shown being dragged off a United Airlines flight on April 9 in widely shared videos, behaved violently toward the officers removing him, but his lawyer dismissed this account as “utter nonsense.”
The phone videos taken by other passengers set off waves of criticism and multiple statements from the airline, each more apologetic than the last.
The police reports were released Monday afternoon in response to a freedom of information request filed by The New York Times and other news organizations. The releases included audio of the original call to the Chicago Department of Aviation police, personnel reports about the officers and an incident report that appeared to blame Dr. Dao for his own injuries.

The video contradicts the police report. He did not get violent but was violently pulled out of the seat and dragged down the aisle. You can see in the video that he was not waving his arms around, rather they were pulling him. I generally would trust the police report but the video puts a lie to it and NO passengers said the old man was violent so this seems like a big CYA report from the cops.
There is video before that footage that apparently show him being violent and injuring a police officer.

He turned himself into a limp noodle. I’ve seen it before.
Then I’m sure it will come out but until then, I can only go by the video that has been released which shows unharmed non-cops violently pulling him out of the plane. Remember, this is a 70 year old guy. No marks or injuries were reported on the cops at the time and the only person bleeding all over the place was the old guy. So I remain skeptical of this report.
