She was trained how to do business deals; however, that's the extent of her knowledge. She knows nothing at all about geopolitics, American politics, nor much of anything else.
She imagines that she "softens" her father's image; however, she doesn't and is NOT his surrogate either.

I predict a rift in the Trump family before this is all through. At some point the Ivanka/Jared influence is going to politically hurt Trump. Having watched his two sons during the campaign, I don’t think they are going to stand idle. “Dad, we love our sister but. . .”
