Of the earlier postings on this there were no pixs from cell phones provided which might have been taken and the explanation offered was: The reason for not doing so by the cops and news sources was because they were “juveniles”.

While that just might be the case. And that would show how screwed up things are.

Finally found it. A similar thing happened back in 2010 in India. A retiring Gurkha, Bishnu Shrestha, on his way home from the from the Indian army faced off in a hijacked train car with ~40 bandits who were swarming his train in a Jesse James style take over robbery. He sat still and let the bandits take loot including his wallet. Just property it can be replaced.

The tipping point was when the bad guys decided to gang rape a 18y/o passenger near him. She pleaded for help so he decided enough is enough. The bandits overlooked his kukri. Bad mistake. He stood up and went to her aid. For 20 minutes he went H2H, steel on steel. End result 3 dead bad guys 8 wounded and the attack repelled. Straight up Audey Murphy.
