Erin Moran, best known as Ron Howard's kid sister in the classic sitcom "Happy Days," has died, TMZ reports......

This scourge of drugs will take people out of the work force, grind down our productivity and drag us into a state of gang violence and more dependency on the government. What is that a recipe of? A nation under collapse through the use of chemical agents for the benefit of other nations.
He as well as others tried to help her. There’s only so much family and friends can do.
And Winkler and Baio tried to help her as others in the cast tried. Sometimes there no help that works.
And I partied in the 80s and didn’t turn into an alcoholic or drug addict. The majority of people didn’t. Erin Moran, like some others, had way more problems than just occasionally drinking or whatever. She was an addict with mental illness.
A a lot of us were there, we could drink and party and turn away at any time. At the same time, we knew people who once they started could not stop. The only factor I could ever trace it down to was impulsivity. The people I knew as kids and young adulthood who were impulsive in other matters ended up with addiction issues.
I was lucky. I was in a band, we toured, we had anything we wanted made available to us, and even substances we did not want were given to us. A couple of my bandmates were not so lucky, they could never say no or knew when to stop.
Good grief. Erin Moran was my age and not the child we watched on TV. She was responsible for her actions,
Her co-workers from years ago have absolutely no responsibility for her.
She chose the life she led.
Sorry, but she did it to herself. Got into drugs in a huge way and never got out.
Yes sir, I absolutely would........if I knew they were in trouble. I will think much less of Opie from now on. With his tens of millions, he could have helped this woman.
But, Opie, a huge star from pre teen age, never missed a meal. I’m sure Moran did.
Now, before I get attacked, if it turns out Opie tried to help her and she rebuffed him, then I apologize to him! (I.e. Ron Howard).
“”They say celebrities go in threes. Earlier today, Cuba Gooding, Sr. was found dead and now Erin Moran. Wonder who the third will be?””
Don’t bet on Keith Richards!
Amen.
FYI....his children's book series is, thus far, composed of seventeen highly acclaimed books, which has been turned into a Brit T.V. series, in which he also has an acting role.
He also acts in some American T.V. shows, on Broadway, and directs.
He is NOT living in a state of penury and you truly shouldn't talk about things or people you know less than NOTHING at all about! And IF you'd like to know more about Henry, you should do some research, or FRmail me.
I never said he was poor. I only said that, at the time he might have tried to help her, he may not have had the means to give her the help.
I think her problems all started when she was a young teen. Her brother disappeared and was never mentioned by anyone ever again. It’s like he never even existed. That will play with anyone’s mind.
He DID try to help her financially, by setting her up to get several, different acting jobs, on T.V. shows, which she NEVER bothered to follow up/show up for. And THAT is what I posted to this thread.
And at the time Erin was "down and out", she was paid $65,000, by the old HAPPY DAYS corporation, who had owed her money from sales of products and residuals. SHE BLEW IT ALL ON ALCOHOL AND DRUGS!
And FYI....Henry is actually a very nice, kind hearted man.
Where did I say that Henry Winkler was a selfish SOB who let Erin Moran die? Being kind and having the means to help an addict to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars for some extended ranch stay, to completely stay away from drugs until the cycle is broken completely is not the same.
He may be a successful children’s author now, but was he a successful children’s author back in the 80’s? Even so, children’s book authors is not the highest paying gig to write for. They only sell a few hundred thousand books at best. Good on him, but that’s not going to give him the wealth of Stephen King.
Television actors back then were not well paid as they are now. In the 70’s and 80’s you were surprisingly poorly paid for the time. It wasn’t like now where well known actors could earn millions of dollars in a well-known show.
Oh...so now you are an expert in how much money EVERYONE on T.V. has earned for the past 40 years AND how much authors of children's book series, which also become T.V. series make? Gee...just WHAT do YOU do, to know these things?
What's next...are you going to tell me that you know Henry, personally and that HE has told you all about his earnings AND his "relationship" with Erin? LOL
Do calm down and be aware that IF you keep on making insane statements, to someone who knows the facts, you will only continue to make yourself an object of ridicule.
And PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST.....Henry was NEVER a "close friend of Erin's", isn't related to her, and therefore was NEVER under any obligation to "take care of her" in perpetuity.
You’re the one making a big deal out of this, though I don’t know why. I just made some simple observations as a response to somebody’s query as to why her fellow castmates weren’t willing to help her. And you’ve been responding to my posts about it since that point.
I know the area very well.
If you don't enjoy being told facts, by someone who knows them, then you shouldn't post about things you don't know much about.
You don't know Henry Winkler, do you! All your posts are opinions that you have made up in your head.
I'm posting from knowledge.
