America has always had its divisions, and Americans have never really been a monolith. We’ve always been a nation of many nations. The culture of New England is different from the culture of the Deep South, which is different from the cultures in the West Coast or the Midwest. People living in the cities have different beliefs than people who live in the countryside. Within those areas, there are ethnic, linguistic, and religious enclaves. It’s always kind of been like that (probably to a lesser degree in the past), and somehow we’ve been able to find enough common ground to keep this country together for more than a century.
However, something has changed. You can feel it in the air. Our nation has clearly never been this divided since the Civil War. A lot of people noticed it after the last election, but the truth is that these divisions have been deepening for decades, and they’re just now reaching a very noticeable breaking point. That’s obvious enough when you look at how the left and the right have been going at each other. It used to be a war of words, but it’s turning into something very dark.
Consider what happened last week in Berkeley after Trump supporters and counter protesters clashed for the third time. 21 people were arrested and 11 were injured (that we know of), six of who had to be taken to the hospital. At least one person was stabbed. The police confiscated confiscated knives, stun guns, and poles. One Trump supporter admitted to being surrounded, pepper sprayed, and beaten with sticks by a mob of “protesters.”
But wait, that’s not the dark part. After these groups clashed, the leftist protesters took to Reddit and admitted that they lost this particular battle ...

Watched videos of such cities today. In Venzuela. Wide open lawlessness and terrorist actions by government thugs. Women having babies ripped from their arms. Gangs stealing everything they can find.

If you ride, you don’t have to follow anyone’s sorority rules. I always laugh at that biker culture that claims they are just innocent clubs and not gangs. Then in the next sentence, they sternly warn that if you and your friends form a motorcycle club, you’d better follow the rules, kiss the ring of some local criminal, etc.
So which is it?
I actually thought about making a list about the rules. Then I realized that there was a common theme running through all the rules, and that was the mutual respect given by a man to his fellow men.
The News media was better at hiding their hatred for Reagan. That doesn't mean they weren't continually working toward his demise. The same tricks are being played on President Trump we just have alternate sources to find out the truth and the MSM's actual agenda.
The delayed hostage scandal was in Reagan's first 100 days. They beat that issue to death. The difference then was they had a pretense of being objective which would mean some small percentage of reporting would be positive. Today they've dropped the pretense of objectivity and the MSM has devolved to tabloid levels.

As I recall, George Washington in so many words expressed your same thoughts. He was referring to how our country would be unified and stay together because we shared the same culture, values, etc.

It’s actually far far worse than I imagined. The muzzies have so completely infiltrated every sector in our country that, according to the FBI whistleblower in the link below, they are about 90% complete. Yep. One side is populated by patriotic Americans who love their country and who generally affirm the values clearly defined in the Constitution. The other side is populated by ANTI-Americans who despise their country and generally affirm the values of all leftists, i.e., those clearly defined by the basic tenants of Socialism, its ugly sister, Communism, and of course, Fascism.
Oh, absolutely, but the issue is that these won't get seized when the cops disarm the good guys as they did in the 3rd battle of Berkley.
I imagine something would have to change from how things are now for sustained civil unrest to happen.
With even the poorest having smart phones and social media, imagine if just the internet cuts out. I think a lot of younger people have absolutely no idea how to entertain themselves with out that stuff.
