Fox News Channel ditched Bill O’Reilly on Wednesday following the revelation of a series of sexual harassment allegations.
His accusers—including Juliet Huddy, Andrea Tantaros, and Gretchen Carlson—also tellingly no longer work at Fox News. But the women who never worked at Fox News strike as the ultimate victims. Those who share the chromosomes of the aggrieved parties but not a CV that includes girl-next-door looks, or a rock-star boyfriend, or a Miss America crown don’t, generally, get hired in cable news.
Strangely, the ladies that cable news regards as bringing viewers the most articulate, insightful opinions, cogent analysis, and trusted, steady delivery of information all exhibit a highest common denominator: 10. Even on The Five, viewers see no fives. God apparently blessed the best-looking women with the most desirable attributes in other categories, too.
Sure, ugly people can get on the Fox News Channel—if they’re guys (If you want proof of this, turn it on right now). But it really, really helps to appear really, really good looking if you want a spot on Fox News Channel and you don’t have a penis. The ladies never allowed within the sights of any Fox News Channel camera suffered from the sexism of the TV-news business far more than the on-air talent subjected to leers, propositions, and unwanted comments.
Where’s their multimillion-dollar settlements?
Sex sells, especially on cable news. Ugly women need not apply. Fat women need not apply. Old women need not apply. Hot women? You’re hired.

That's the lure of the Fox show, "Outnumbered". It's easier to watch with the sound off.
They might want to build a separate studio for Bill at OAN, just to keep him away from the females that work there.

I always found O’Reilly to be a bore going back to when he was a local Boston talking head.
Not to keep repeating myself, but ultimately none of this crap is of importance to me; I happily don’t have cable, nor do I want it. I’m not $ub$idizing any of this tabloid fodder.
Interesting. Much of his audience will probably follow. OAN is better choice than RT, where somebody noted he might go, following Larry King’s example.
Will Dish be carrying OAN? It’s owner is a Hillary supporter, thus he might not be excited to do it.
I miss Greta. She is now on MSNBC, and I haven’t gotten around to watching it.
Greta always acted and dressed professional. Kelly and most of the other women dress in sleeveless cocktail dresses, ready to party.
I can’t watch Fix and Friends because of all the crotch shots. They embarrass me... they put a woman in a bandage-style dress that’s extremely too-small, cross her legs, then center the camera shot on her crotch. I’ve always hated this.
BOR might go to OANN? Strange. I like OANN. I hate BOR and it doesn’t seem that he’d be a good fit there. But he might bring some much-needed attention to the fledgling organization. It’s so good, and I worry that it can’t compete against the big guys over time.

That was called “real life” during my career. As you suggested, I took it as a compliment in most cases. Women are such babies now.

Well, that was the best picture of Lynne Russell’s ‘secondary sexual characteristics’ I found.
She built the cable news franchise over 30 years ago for Ted Turner as the popular host of CNN Headline News.
Don’t wanna look at those gals in high definition.
Actually Outnumbered is the only program on Fox that I watch other than Hannity.
