“GOP, Republican” are obsolete political terms imo, nothing more than different names for the conservative front end of the corrupt Washington cartel.

I agree. The two parties have now joined forces into a unified, elite class of parasitic totalitarians. As has famously been said, we would do better to fire them all, and replace them with the first 535 names in the phone book.
With few exceptions, the labels mean nothing anymore.
