The most competitive special Congressional election yet has arrived, and we will be providing returns live tonight right here. In addition to our district-wide totals, we will be analyzing county and precinct level returns. For the Democrats, the hope is that Jon Ossoff can pull out an outright win tonight- if he gets over 50% of the vote in this crowded field, hes in as the districts new Representative in Congress. If he falls short, then he will face off against one of four likely Republican opponents in a runoff on June 20th: Karen Handel, Bob Gray, Judson Hill, or Dan Moody. Polls close at 7pm and we anticipate at least early vote tallies to begin rolling in shortly thereafter. Refresh this page for the latest results tonight out of Georgia.

Thanks...I tend to think it won’t be surprising if O wins.....however any news caster reporting on where it stands before it’s over I won’t be wasting my time listening to.

130,000 registered voters does not sound right. Districts are bigger than that. I just checked the vote count in the 2016 general election - 312,000 votes.

That is not going to happen. The repubs are splitting their votes 14 ways and the dems are not. Ossoff will win a plurality, that is certain, but hopefully the repub turnout will keep Ossoff under 50%.

The Marxistcrats need some time to work out exactly how many votes need to be ‘manufactured’ .
It stinks.

Yes. While never living there, I have been all over that district for the last 40 years. My sister, her in-laws, and for a decade one of our children have lived there. Parts of it are very much like the suburban area I grew up in in the midwest. Affluent suburbs that went through their growth 50 years ago. Not as conservative as I would say, “main street.”

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the entire purpose of a primary to select a candidate of a designated party to then run against the declared nominee of any opposing parties in a subsequent election?
To: mrsmith
Conor Sen @conorsen 4m4 minutes ago More BREAKING: Briarwood precinct in DeKalb reports. Ossoff with 66.0% of 673 ballots cast. Hillary was 58.9%.
