Maybe its because the complexity is difficult to distill; maybe its because some just cant give President Trump any credit; or maybe its because the scope is too challenging to comprehend against the constant belittlement meme du jour; regardless of reason, President Trump is fundamentally realigning international geo-political alliances and almost no-one is connecting the dots.
President Trump obviously held a long-ball strategy with the Chinese; hes described the approach in his books and lived the approach in his business life:
At the outset, position yourself at the furthest oppositional point when it costs you nothing; then leverage inward toward your opponent as they expend their resources to meet your stance.
Almost no-one is noting the scope of what President Trump has accomplished simply by positioning himself at the furthest extreme from the best interests of China, and then working his leverage back toward dual-interests as the Chinese expend capital to meet the point of mutual benefit.
President Trump has expended nothing other than his sheer will, and yet he has leveraged gains that are jaw-droppingly consequential.
♦ Whats the goal of identifying China as a currency manipulator? To stop China from manipulating currency, right? Well, arm-chair opposition says President Trump has reversed his position simply by not doing something. However, that opposition doesnt seem to acknowledge the end-goal of the labeling has been achieved without expending an effort. The doing is unnecessary when merely the threat of the doing changes the behavior of the doer.
In two days, April 6th and April 7th, President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. What actions has President Trump taken, other than not doing something, and what actions has President Xi Jinping taken?

The article is excellent, thanks for posting.
In less than 90 days the same type of article can be written about:
Japan - We have a new active relationship and partner in the Far East that WANTS to work with us.
Israel - From adversary to old friend.
Mid-East - An Arab coalition of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and others have now stepped up to LEAD and force, if necessary, a Palestine solution.
Russia - Putin now quietly has the word, without China, you have no friends that matter. With the combined economies of the US, China, Japan, UK and S. Korea, you a just a pimple on the Worlds butt.
You could add many others like Hungary and Poland where they hold pro-Trump rallies.
The scope of what has been accomplished in such a short time is too much to wrap my small brain around completely but I am in awe!
BTTT! This is his modus operandi.
You make a good point, and one that many of us anticipated and hoped for as far back as the transition. The serial nature of Washington and especially the media political coverage was not ready for Trump’s style.
I suggested back then that if Trump just kept moving, constantly creating new issues, the media would not be able to keep the public’s attention on any one issue for fear of not covering the new issue. This article points out that the media doesn’t seem to want to give Trump “credit” for any accomplishments, and that is obviously true. It doesn’t point out that there are so many things going on, that the MSM have not been able to even dwell on those issues that would otherwise have them up in arms — like the arctic oil drilling, the pipelines, the changes at the EPA, the Wall prototypes, ICE raids, etc. These stories have come and gone so fast compared to other Presidents.
It seems amazing that the media, with literally thousands of “journalists” available, cannot keep up with what Trump is doing. Unfortunately for them, there is just limited space on a page, limited airtime available, and limited appetite for news. Even political news junkies like Freepers are missing a bunch of what goes on.
It still worries me a bit that Congress is not on the same page as Trump, and moves at a snail’s pace in the same serial, one-item-at-a-time methodology it always has. There is no excuse for it as there are hundreds of Congressmen and dozens of committees specifically intended to work multiple problems at once. They need to get with the program of streamlining and simplifying government. As Ozero proved, you can do a lot through the Executive branch control of Departments and Agencies, but big things like Tax Reform and spending cuts need Congress.
I’ve always thought Sundance’s articles were worth reading, but I agree. This is the very best.
I was among those who feared that Trump had bombed the wrong side in Syria (bad vs. worst), but I did not criticize him because I thought it was worth waiting to see what his reasons were. And they are becoming more and more evident.
And, as I said at the time, although we support Assad against ISIS, Assad is far from perfect and needs an occasional reminder that we are not his blind supporters. So from that point of view as well, the bombing can be defended.
It indeed did but now I think there’s something more.
Not just a bullet dodged, but a blessing bestowed.
We—the American people—may very well look upon the Trump years as America’s BEST years.
They are not interested in his subtleties of negotiation.Nor does it appear do some on FR.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Those subtleties are simply beyond the comprehension of most of the MSM hacks who are committed to undermining President Trump at every opportunity.
A fantastic article. Sundance is extremely intelligent and puts things together so well. TCTH is about the only decent news site left practically. BB is good but they often have articles from other sites as their own, excerpted, so boring, and they are way overly critical of Trump.
Recent tweet from Bill Mitchell, I agree 100%!
These fools opposing Trump don’t give a damn about RESULTS. They only care about their narrow Ideology.

“I cannot wait til he kicks ryno to the curb”
Trump is going to ryno’s district for a rally. May not be long now.
Smiling...
We still need a wall, President Trump will not be in office forever.
A lot of our Presidents have neither the initiative nor ambition of Trump. Some were downright lazy like Obama. Others were not that smart.
While I’ve been behind Trump since the escalator, I’m not one to be blinded by loyalty and will criticize if things change. If he builds the wall and stops illegal immigration he will have done more to MAGA than the last half dozen Presidents.
It’s no longer: “Don’t mess with Texas” !
It’s NOW: “Don’t mess with the United States of America” !!
TRUMP style !!!
