“I think “accurate language” and “carefully constructed” applies to all of Thomas Jefferson's deleted paragraph except the words, “by murdering the people” since that is not what Dunmore’s proclamation actually called for. So “by murdering the people” qualifies as “too much of an exaggeration,” imho.”
