He won’t fire Kushner until Kushner has a dramatic fall.
So either Bannon has to kowtow to Kushner until that happens -thus Trump’s very public kick in the gonads to Bannon - or he will be relegated to another position or pushed out.

I don’t agree. First, both Conway and Miller are with Bannon. Second, Trump is very smart, and knows-—despite the bluster-—that Bannon is the heart of the blue collar support.
Third, we still don’t know who was for/against the strike. One story says Bannon v Kush, another says all agreed, and a third said Bannon Kush opposed but Mattis’s opinion carried the day.
This is likely why you saw Bannon trying to herd the damn House Freedom Caucus in line-—because he knew that by them holding out it weakened his influence on other issues.
