I don’t feel angry or betrayed at all.

Assad won’t be using the air base that President Trump
bombed to launch poison gas strikes against his own
people any time soon.

Understandable since this is contrary to what he promised. Most people don’t want us to get bogged down in another war.

My question is:

How does DJT know that the CIA people who supplied him with “absolute proof” that Asaad really did it, aren’t the same people who placed the “Russian evidence” on the Trump server?

Good. If Syria uses more chemical weapons, I hope the President will disappoint them some more.

With all due respect to Micheal Savage and Ann Coulter, how do just the two of them become “MANY” of Trump supporters upset with him. I think the author is conflating SOME who are upset into “many”.

As far me, as long as Trump is for very directed limited action vis-a-vis Assad, and steadfastly focused on helping the Kurds defeat ISIS in north of Syria, that will be fine. It will be fine leaving Russia owning what happens in Damascus.

FReepers think before you open your fly-trap.
Trump is on our side, and he didn't break any promises with that strike.

Betrayed? Heck no! I’m pigging out on Freedom Fries, and playing Lee Greenwood on repeat! If you are against neocon foreign policy, you are a Never-Trumper.

Many are not feeling betrayed by the President, rather they may be feeling there are others trying to blind the President and steer him toward their agenda because there are still Obama holdovers and who knows what trouble these embeds can make.

As for me, I am only concerned that the intelligence presented to the President is solid, that there are no spins on it, no omissions of fact. I am only concerned that he is getting complete coverage of information or that it is readily available on demand.

If the chemical attack was staged and caused by ISIS rebels, I don’t care if the President busted up and wrecked a bunch of Syrian jets. What matters is he received the very best, the most complete, accurate, raw intelligence without compromise.

The President is allowed to bluff and trick in war. In war, he is not required to be transparent or even truthful. As long as the intelligence he receives is solid, he is free to make confusion and chaos as he sees fit to protect Americans. If the intelligence is faulty, the President can be made a fool; this is what I fear.

I listened to a bit of Savage yesterday. He was unhinged and needed to self medicate.

If we follow Haley down the path of regime change, I’ll feel “betrayed.” Bloodying Assad’s nose and nothing more is fine.

“In the war, she continued, there are no “good guys,” and so Trump is making a mistake by choosing sides. “This [Syria] is a tribal society, there are savages on both sides, we’re not exactly on the side of the angels here — we’re helping ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria,” she explained, highlighting a point that Trump trumpeted repeatedly as he accused Obama and Hillary of helping to create ISIS. “Nobody is good over there, but at least Assad is secular and he protects the Christians — nobody’s checked with the Christians on the ground in Syria, they’re terrified that they’re just going to be wiped out if Assad is gone.” Indeed, if Assad falls, it is very likely that what remains of Syria’s ancient Christian community would be exterminated, as occurred in Iraq after the U.S. invasion toppled Saddam Hussein.”

I agree entirely with those statements. I hope any further bombings we may conduct in Syria are limited to ISIS, al-Queda, and sundry other islamo-maniacs.

Well this is exactly out of the Share Blue playbook. Turn Trump supporters against each other and cheer on the never Trumpers.

So the same never Trumpers will throw a hissy fit. It’s rather predictable and sad that so we people fall for this.

BUNK....the attack wasn’t illegal and was necessary....unlike Obama, Trump wasn’t willing ti sit by and watch Assad slaughter innocent people.

We have people in country working on the ISIS campaign. We can't have Assad tossing chemical weapons around, so Trump sent them a message about that. This wasn't a decapitation strike or policy change toward regime change... just a message telling Assad to lay off the chemical attacks.

I don't have an issue with that.
