It’s even worse than that, because about half that 13% would be females, and others would be children or elderly, right? What percentage of the population are black males in their teens and twenties? Because they’re doing most of it.
True, but young men commit most of the crime across all racial groups, so the percentages I cited are still true if you compare young black men to young non-black men. (apples to apples).
But your point is well taken: young black men are off-the-charts violent people, responsible for an enormously disproportionate share of the crime-related misery in this country.
It can easy be narrowed down to about 3% of the population commits about 45-48% of the murders.
