WHY OH WHY do these people report these finds??? Some government agent is going to show up and seize the whole load. If I found 100lbs of gold bars somewhere I’d keep my mouth shut.
Band saw it into smaller sections (save the dust!) and melt it with a few 14-22k rings or some gold scrap to throw off an assay or isotope analysis that could trace it.
Recall the Swiss got egg on their faces sitting on a bunch of gold that hadn’t been refined well enough to get all the mercury from Jewish dental work out...
