I agree—Trump voters IMO are hoping and holding out for him to come through with at least a good portion of the platform he ran on, and likely aren’t jumping ship yet. But it is only 19 months until the next election and already tax relief is looking likely to be delayed beyond significant effect at that time. And all the news this week is of the liberal Democrats in his admin, and their policies, being ascendant.
Plenty of time for course correction and concrete results. But both at this point are looking necessary.
I believe that tax reform was the second most important aspect of getting the economy rolling. The first thing was ending and rolling back an incredibly burdensome regulatory scheme. That is being accomplished. It is why we are seeing the economy turn around despite tax reform not being enacted as of yet.
