Highest gasoline prices in the USA and the Democrats want to spend more and tax more. Taxifornia is already WASTING $25 BILLION per year to support the presence and consequences of ILLEGAL ALIENS. It is all about VOTES AND POWER and keeping control of the state legislature...while continuing to DESTROY Taxifornia for its REAL citizens. All while Jerry Brown keeps his 'welcome wagon' going for illegals and other unmentionables.

How long will it be until they announce the construction of a major new building or full of lavishly equipped government offices for themselves as an infrastructure project?

So according to the ‘fantasy story in La La Land’ we can say that their ‘increase in gas tax’ is to do ‘infrastructure’ so the rest of us Tax Payers don't have to worry about California, they will take care of their own...did I read that right?

Well good for them, all the more infrastructure for the rest of America!!! (When is Mexico going to start taxing Californians for living in their State)...Just Wondering...

Taxes, taxes, taxes.

You make it, they take it.

Well if you didn’t like it, you’d vote for someone else. :)

CA corruption on display. Moonbeam and his corrupt cohorts, conceived in the sewer, prove that Liberalism is a mental disease.

The bloated bureaucrats of California have an insatiable appetite for more taxes to pay their salaries and benefits.

California might have a stable or growing population, but the demographics are changing. The wealthy are leaving CA and the poor are moving in.

I was born in LA in 1948. I moved to Utah in 1982 and I have never been sorry for even one nanosecond. We don’t bother to lock our doors where I live now. Calif is a shythole. I keep encouraging my brothers to GTF out of LA. But nooooooo... a million reasons they have to live in a powderkeg. Well it’s not that I haven’t warned them.

If I remember right, Gov. Moonbat wanted the US Gov. to pony up around 600 Billion to fix their infrastructure but I guess they were told to handle it themselves.

I am in CA---all of you in the other 56 states are missing the big points:

Our higher gasoline taxes help to pay for a MUCH higher quality of gasoline with SPECIAL blends.

We have the ability to purchase great earthquake insurance from our GOLDEN state and all of those premiums are placed in a LOCK BOX, so the funds don't disappear, I think..

Our high cigarette taxes are guarded by Mr Reiner(Meathead), so we know that is safe, again, sort of..

Oh,and we have a Bullet train in our future. So, suck it up!

Typical politicians. Unregistered or outdated registered vehicles in CA are ignored by law enforcement. Just increase the fees on the suckers who stay in compliance to increase the revenue. So sick and tired of lazy bureaucrats.

California Legislature hikes gas tax for infrastructure plan

Money diverted to Troubled Pension Plans instead.

I wonder why the CA legislators don’t just confiscate 90% of their constituents paychecks. Just hurry up and get it over with. Besides, they know how to spend it better than anyone else. And its the patriotic duty of the taxpayers to fork it over, anyway.

Like the "train to nowhere," this is a pay-off to the trade unions that will rebuild the infrastructure. Union money, public and private, keeps CA Democrats in power. Meanwhile the average driver will get nailed in the pocketbook again for infrastructure maintenance that's been funded by the current gas tax but diverted to other projects.
