In Richardson, a robot is reporting for its first day on the job.
Dallas lawn care startup, Robin has installed 50 robotic lawnmowers in North Texas, with plans to roll out 50 to 100 more every month.
Weve been running a lawn care business for the last 2 years. Its grown very quickly to 6,000 customers. We see this as an opportunity to create a more reliable experience for our customers, says Co-Founder and CEO Justin Crandall.

What is going to happen when illegals and legal immigrants can't make a buck mowing lawns?

Can you put a joy stick control on the robots and have your kids control the robots with the joy stick to mow the lawn.

Well this is cool.
It’s like a Roomba for your lawn.
To: C19fan
That’s cool, but I like mowing and tending my lawn.
Good time outside and good exercise.

What happens when one drives over a pet?
To: chris37
Me too. I like riding the lawn tractor around.

Well this will certainly make crop circle accessible to a broader base. Just need to advertise more.

Your lawn has to be flat. It won’t take on hills or dips.
That thing wouldn’t stand a chance with my fur babies.

Yep :D
I got a tractor, a self propelled for the hard to get areas, an edger, a weed eater and a hedge trimmer.
I like making my lawn look good. That’s some fun stuff.

Someone will have to take the robots to the job sites. What if they don’t understand Spanish?

Worse yet, who cleans it up when the robot drives over a giant pile of dog or cat poop?

Was visiting a friend in the hospital this morning; as we were waiting for the elevator, this came around the corner, *talking* to itself, waited with us, to board the elevator. Strange and kinda creepy.

We inquired in the lobby and it is a drug-delivery robot. Newbie on the staff.
