Testimony from victims strongly suggests it was the rebels, not the Syrian government, that used Sarin nerve gas during a recent incident in the revolution-wracked nation, a senior U.N. diplomat said Monday.
Carla del Ponte, a member of the U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, told Swiss TV there were “strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof,” that rebels seeking to oust Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad had used the nerve agent.
But she said her panel had not yet seen any evidence of Syrian government forces using chemical weapons, according to the BBC, but she added that more investigation was needed.

I’d not be totally surprised if rebels used munitions that were nominally Assad’s. The problem is the gas munitions. This is like a stash of ill guarded matches in the presence of pyromaniacs.

I watched that video, his explanation of why Assad would use chemical weapons is laughable. Dur Dur he wants to kill all the Sunni civilians by using weapons that about as 1/10th as effective as regular bombs.
Israeli intelligence was positive the USS Liberty was an Egyptian Destroyer Escort attacking Israel in a war initiated by Israel, and they repeatedly attacked Liberty for a full day.

So this time the Turkish Independent UN observers said it was Assad. Never forget that the point person for the Administration in 2013 was, the ever truthful, Susan Rice and that she and John Kerry soon confirmed that all Gas had been removed from Syria even though it might have been those pesky rebels who needed to be relocated to Europe and the US.
It looks like trump found an orifice to insert an enema and the world is having a minor reset on acceptable dictator behavior.

Assad is the main reason for the refugee problem coming out of Syria at least, I don’t know about the rest of region, Assad’s a bigger killer than ISIS.
