Couldn’t a B-52 with a load of dumb bombs do this.
It would be foolish to risk US aircrews when we don’t need to do so. Syria does have fighter aircraft and SAM batteries. A B-52 would be a sitting duck.
An sa300 would be able to take out the b52 easily, terrain following NOE cruise missiles, not so much.
It might take a couple runs.. but , Yeah.. a few 117s could do a mess of a job too.. we may need the practice and soon.. plus we got to dump a few older Tomahawks.. so if ya hear of a goatherder that got a herd blow’d up by accident, well..
