Yes, Putin was in a tough spot - he couldnt just fold and leave Syria - Russia is too invested. This move allows Putin out of being allied with Syria and secondly shows Trump is tough - then we will probably let the Russians finish off ISIS in Syria. Trump is always playing 4D chess..he must have thought this thru to its logical conclusion.
