It is said that Watergate wasn’t about the crime, but about the coverup. Well, at least in the Watergate scandal, there was a proper crime — specifically, the break-in and wiretapping. The frenzy has created a scandal without perpetrators or a crime. There is a sense that Washington is on the brink, but no one can say on the brink of what.
Rice has a history of a strained relationship with the truth, and for a national security adviser, she has, at times, flown close to the partisan political flame. So, what was going on? Why did she do it? And with whom, in the government and the media, did she share the information?
Multiple senators are now demanding her testimony. There could have been crimes committed and a real scandal could develop, so you can bet the full story will be slow to emerge. It appears that Rice has issued the standard denials. And her defenders on Capitol Hill and in the media will do all they can to distract and demand that there is nothing to see here. Democrats and their media allies will continue to make baseless allegations, hoping that the Russia investigations will somehow deliver for them and become this president’s Watergate.
The result so far? Competing outrage. Just as Democrats are pursuing L-TACs (links, ties, associations or contacts) in search of a crime, the Obama White House’s national security adviser has now landed as one of the ones who will have to answer for her actions under oath. Washington is as scandal-primed as I’ve ever seen it — there is a lot of smoke right now, but no clear fire. So the noise and finger-pointing will continue. And I have no idea who is winning.

Just doing her job. Phew, I'm so relieved. So Democrats are OK w/ Obama/Susan's surveilling/unmasking b/c it's "all legal."
Okay, then Pres Trump needs to do his job. He needs to announce ASAP, that since this is “all legal,” his administration will step up and do the legal thing to protect Americans' safety and security.
They'll be surveilling and unmasking any and all Democrats, on a continuing non-stop basis, particularly Democrats who have talked with foreign ambassadors, foreign financial groups, tropical offshore entities, and the like.
Plus, the Trump administration will ask for the “unmasking” of all those Democrats who are involved in such talks... because it is "legal."
AND Trump will use "Obama’s very on legal rules" to distribute that information to every US intelligence agency. (HAT TIP BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP)

Well apparently the New York Times Chiefs told their senior staff after the election “We’re sorry , we tried.”
The comments show that they feel the WaPo has brought in a rabid insane right winger. They don’t believe a word of this.
If Trump can’t get through to the enemies who own us right now, we are done without a violent war. Or maybe even with one. Conservatives are correct but we are now in chains. Pray for our nation to be free again.

Really .. but, reality says they started a YEAR BEFORE HE WON THE ELECTION.
And .. actually this move alone gives a lot of light to the fact that each time Obama was running in an election, he found dirt on the other guy .. and ended up winning.
And .. even though Obama was not able to run again, he couldn’t bear the thought of Trump tearing up all of Obama’s hard work at tearing America down.
The FLY in the ointment has to be Obama.
Basically WaPo is saying Watergate was a real crime because opposition research was done via a burglary, but there's no crime here because the opposition research was done electronically with the NSA's tools.
The Obama administration assumed Hillary Clinton was going to win the election, so all of the evidence of this illegal surveillance was going to disappear. When Trump won, they knew they were all going to get caught with their pants down, so to speak -- so they fabricated the story about Russia's ties to the Trump campaign in order to rationalize the surveillance.
Don’t get excited about this. I have never heard of this commentator. Let them bring out their executives to admit their malfeasance, elitism, and incompetence. Then, maybe celebrate a little.
