The law imposes criminal sanctions on government officials who engage in electronic surveillance under color of law except as authorized by statutes and governing regulations implementing those statutes. This same criminal law makes a person guilty of an offense if she intentionally discloses or uses information obtained under color of law by electronic surveillance, knowing or having reason to know that the information was obtained in a manner not authorized by law.
According to both FBI Director Comey and NSA Director Clapper, no warrant ever authorized the intercepts and electronic surveillance on a member of Trumps team.
Susan Rice, and the Obama administration, appeared to have often skipped the Constitutional limits on their duties while in office; now might be a good time to buff up on the Fifth Amendment, and the right to counsel. Congress may be calling soon.

I'll bet money the witch also got the IRS to hand over Trump's tax returns. Corrupt democrats spoke of that with waaaaay too much passion. Maybe new laws for our 'intelligence services' might be in order...
Create Laws that STOP American Intelligence Services from 'following orders' that are at odds with Nuremberg Trials concepts. The Courts should do a broad outline... Trump will back this - a way to STOP totalitarians in the future from abusing American Intelligence Services.
Why Susan Rices Reported Unmasking of Trump Officials —DOES NOT—Raises Very Serious Legal Concerns for Her
former SOS got away with felonies while under active FBI investigations- The FBI destroyed evidence during it’s ‘investigation’ to help protect her- Lois Lerner used the IRS to attack Americans- a clear violation of the law
Eric Holder was held in contempt but managed to keep his job
Susan rice lied to the American people repeatedly about what happened in benghazi
former SOS clearly broke the law by having a private government server in her home- then lied about it for months, then lied about what was on it, then lied about cooperating with investigators, then destroyed evidence, then called the parents of the slain ambassador and his fellow Americans liars- then said what diff does it make? Then Then Then...
And And And
There is no justice when a person is a high ranking official- No matter how serious the crimes committed, or how many felonies they commit- only the little people are held accountible
No problem. Dan Rather will have a signed search ready by the end of the day.
Flynn is a Democrat. What information did he have that the Obama mafia feared would get out if he were hired by Pres. Trump?
Congress my ass. They have no means of enforcement.
Convene a federal grand jury, see if there’s enough evidence to warrant, and if so - TRY! I’m getting tired of messing around with criminals.
Nothing will happen but a lot of talk.
Back in colonial days it was common for the Crown to let a loyalist go scot-free, especially if the crime was against a colonist without strong connections to the Crown.
As Susan was in effect helping and protecting the Crown against what they considered a usurper, the modern day Crown will leave her alone.
If she does wind up in court, she’ll plead, and the court system and media will bend over backward to help her and make it all Trump’s Fault.
“There are two reasons why the mainstream media is minimizing this story. Both are very troubling.
1) They are left leaning. Duh. I know, not exactly breaking news, but they are biased. That feeds into it. But the bigger problem is...
2) They are criminally complicit. The unmasked names and transcripts were leaked to the NYT and CNN and others. These “news” outlets absolutely know who is behind all this stuff, because they’ve been getting the material directly from them. And because they have been talking to them and seeing these classified materials, they know this is not merely intel related, but is in fact Obama’s admin using the IC to spy on the Trump team. They knew it, and yet they did their bidding and ran with those Russia stories instead of exposing the biggest corruption scandal since Watergate. The mainstream media has to be sh___ing their pants, because they are actually a direct part of the corruption in this case. CNN and the NYT are essentially part of the Watergate burglar team.
Now if these investigations lead anywhere, it goes far deeper than merely asking them “who were your sources” for leaks, because NYT and CNN certainly had a clear enough picture to know that this surveillance was extremely improper. Yet they ignored that fact in order to run the stories their “sources” wanted them to run.
We are in the infant stages of this scandal. But it threatens to not only bring down major players in the former administration, former IC staff, but it threatens to bring down some major media entities and perhaps even change how 1st amendment protections of the press are viewed.
This is not a small scandal, this is potentially the biggest scandal of our lifetimes.”

How about we, the People, simply dismantle the surveillance state?
As long as it exists it will be abused.
And it’s not constitutional to begin with.
It’s ironic that people so willing to trash the Constitution fall back on the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution when they get in trouble for it.
No justice will be administered unless by the people—tar and feathers.
When the people over at LawNews are against you...you got BIG trouble!!
Thanks for posting, Para-Ord.45 !
Cletus,
I saw your name mentioned by Liz on another post, about Rice & 5th Amendment.

They are. The media people who go on air, as Obama admin surrogates, are definitely in panic mode. They're shrill and desperate. You can smell the fear, even though the tv screen.
Totally agree. We have to try. Obama isn't President and we have a new Attorney General, Jeff Sessions. Hopefully, Trump will fire Comey and we can get a conservative head of the FBI.
Then, when everything is in place, start the process. Go through the motions at least. Start a thorough investigations of this debacle, the Hillary email/server/Clinton Foundation crimes and many other areas of felonious activity too numerous to mention here.
Start the slow walk of investigation, the subpoenas, interrogatories, Grand Jury, Special Prosecutor, etc, whatever it takes.
We absolutely need to hold these elites in our government accountable. We're either a nation of laws or we are not, no exceptions.
This has to be done, as I've mentioned many times, at least for the precedent value for future generations of Americans. Hopefully, the country last another 200 years, and if this isn't resolved now, it will certainly happen again. That's guaranteed if another totalitarian is elected. Hopefully America has learned it's lesson.
As an aside, I hope Jeff Sessions requests and President Trump agrees with, a massive increase in investigative staff to look into the Obama/Hillary/Lerner/Rice/Jarrett/Clapper/Brennan/Rhodes and many others crimes. Same for the FBI. Priority one in my book.
What are the possible penalties for violating the sections you’ve cited? How many years in prison?
