Let the following sink in, it is grounded in common sense:

http://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/trumps-34-approval-in-ibdtipp-poll-is-nothing-to-cheer-or-ignore/ ----------- Trump's 34% Approval In IBD/TIPP Poll Is Nothing To Cheer, Or Ignore

Trump backers are blaming the poll.

This is not to say that Trump hasn't contributed to his own poor ratings with his ill-conceived tweets, newbie administration mistakes, and a seeming lack of focus on the issues that got him elected. But nothing Trump has done justifies the level of hatred and vitriol being thrown at him.

The poll results have also came under fire from the right. IBD has been accused of being an arm of the Democratic Party, and our poll has been called "fake." One critic tweeted: "Polls are rigged to get the results of the pollsters desired political agenda & the proof of that is what transpired during last year's election."

Such attacks are amusing.

These numbers are sending a clear message. Regardless of who is to blame, Trump is in a serious slump. In just one month, he lost a surprising amount of support among independents and even his strongest backers — such as white men and rural voters.

For now, however, the results are what they are. Reality sometimes can be uncomfortable or unpleasant. But just as celebrating Trump's low approval is wrong, so is denying it altogether.

Oh?

I heard that CS is dead in America.

Has been for a LONG time now.

Lucy: Charlie Brown; the latest polls; which are grounded in Common Sense; show that I've changed my lyin' ways.
I promise not to jerk the football away THIS time.

Charlie: Well; if Common_Sense® says it's ok now...

You can't seem to grasp that there is a REASON people distrust polls. Honest polsters have admitted they no longer have a clue how to poll. Fewer and fewer people have landlines, and fewer still lack caller ID. With all the scams, it's only LIVs who pick up on a number they don't recognize. (There is one particularly insidious scam that succeeds if they can simply get the callee to say, 'Yes.' Only the clueless are taking calls from unknown callers.)

If the polls provide you aid and comfort, embrace them. Just don't ask intelligent, well informed people to do the same.
