Former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S. spy agencies to produce “detailed spreadsheets” of legal phone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova.
“What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday.
“The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,” diGenova said. “In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.”
Other knowledgeable official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenova’s description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election. . .

di Genova has had trouble predicting things last 2 yrs but his facts and sources have not been wrong as far as I can remember.
I was just telling my wife that it is extremely doubtful and ludicrous to think that Susan Rice red millions of transcripts of intercepted phone calls and then said this one sounds interesting tell me who the Americans are on here and they just happen to be Trump Trump’s family in trumps AIDS where is campaign and transition team.
The much more plausible explanation is she requested go get all the transcripts of any phone conversations we have intercepted that were by Trump, these specific Trump aides, and any Trump family member.
That is no longer incidental collection, not when you specifically request transcripts of phone conversations of specific people. That is taking what is vacuumed up, meeting every phone call on the planet that the NSA collects, and then searching for specific information on specific Americans.
And that my friends is treason.

Yes, the story was about the leaking. However, if this story is true, then it eclipses the leaking. It appears that the Trump intercepts did not come out incidentally in the course of foreign intelligence surveillance; rather, Rice asked IC to deliberately cull Trump's phone calls from the metadata. In other words, Trump's communications were targeted for political purposes.

Let’s take this to a logical conclusion under the current FBI Director. First, a House committee will bring in Rice. A referral to the FBI will be made. Comey will “thoroughly investigate”. Rice meets with Comey on some tarmac, and discuss grandchildren. Comey can’t find his ass with two hands and a map, and has equal lack of success crafting a referral to a “reasonable prosecutor”. Rice continues on her comfortable retirement.
If I am reading this right, Obama’s team was recording telephone conversations that had no foreign connection?
She can’t skate away on this, her personal illegalities are signed and documented in triplicate.

The purpose of my criticisms is to get him to stop these impulsive tweets and start courting the public with the image of gravitas that his approval numbers reveal he so desperately needs. I advise him to do this not to rebuke him but to make him more powerful so that those policies of his of which I approve might succeed. You make a good point I will try to fine tune that point, Susan Rice work directly for Barack Obama. There was no intermediary between those two she work directly for him she answered to nobody except him. The very next question should be did Barack Obama order this? Followed by...did Barack Obam know about this and if he did when did he find out about it?
