The man went inside and confronted another man he found in his shower, deputies said. The homeowner left after the two exchanged words. "He returned home, retrieved a firearm, came back over to the residence and fired multiple rounds into the shower ... killing the intruder," said Mason County Sheriff's Lt. Travis Adams. The homeowner called 911 and told dispatchers that he had just shot and killed an intruder, Adams said.

Read the article.
2 houses next to each other. 1 is for residence, other for business.
if you've never been shot right in the shower, believe me you don't want to know more
He should have called Joe Horn. Of course, Joe Horn’s response would be: “You should’ve been living in Texas.”
Homeowner was arrested because he was an Anglo male property owner. But the intruder who he shot and killed was an itinerant with an Hispanic last name. We just can’t have that. So Anglo male homeowner charged with second-degree murder. Made a big mistake. Homeowner was supposed to offer the intruder three hots and a cot. Plus maybe conjugal visits with the wife. Plus the numbers to his bank account. Not a bullet. After all, they are the invaders, aren’t they? Damn, poor baby intruder didn’t even get a soap on a rope.
Time to lawyer up and shut up.
Washington state.
Loonyland.
I live it.
The headline says: “Deputies: Homeowner arrested after fatally shooting intruder in shower”
That implies the intruder was shot in the shower of the residence of the shooter. If the homeowner had shot the guy in Walmart they wouldn’t write “Homeowner arrested after fatally shooting man in Walmart.”
But the story says:
“The homeowner owns two pieces of property that sit next to each other along East Trails Road. One has a house that he lives in. He runs an internet-based business out of a home on the other piece of property, which is where the shooting occurred, deputies said.”
So the homeowner doesn’t actually live in the property in which the shooting happened. That property is used for business. I thought that for a house to be a home somebody had to actually reside there and that business property didn’t qualify as a home, unless it’s a rental or hotel or something similar.
I think the article is badly written.
And another thing, the homeowner thought the property had been broken into and he entered it without a firearm which he could easily obtain. That seems dumb.
Finally, the guy got into an apparent argument, went and got a firearm, them came back and shot the other guy. At least that’s what I get from the badly written article. I’m not sure that’s legal, even in Texas.
I would be willing to bet that your interpretation of the events is SPOT ON !!
Who takes a shower in a house you are burgling ?
Oh.
What would SYG have to do with it at all?
...
And I really mean that.
Yes, in a small podunkville conservative Texas county.
He was in no danger after he left the house. He did not have the right to go back and shoot the guy. That’s murder.
Washington? What the heck. Mason County, TX is in the keyetv.com viewing area. It’s their fault for not making the distinction. I see nowhere it says Washington state unless you track down the authoring staff. Good grief. More SeeBS.
I guess Texas needs to step up an adopt Colorado’s Make My Day law. Anyone in your home intending you harm may be killed, no warnings, BS legal wrangling, no nothing, just kill the SOB.
The intruder got into the shower and stayed there after the homeowner left the house? Was he really dirty or something?
I agree. Sounds like the homeowner did some dumb things.
That said, if I find an intruder in my home, I hope he IS in the shower. I’d hate to get blood on my new carpeting! ;)
“He did not have the right to go back and shoot the guy. Thats murder.”
Sure he did. What sorry State do you live in that requires you to flee a bad guy?? If you return and he is there you do NOT have a responsibility to flee, which means the threat is there, so *bang* *bang* *bang*
Sheesh, you’re no fun at all. You must be a complete downer at parties.
Naked man in your shower? There’s gotta be a woman involved somehow.
