We can get rid of Obamacare very, very easily and we don’t need a single vote in the senate to accomplish it.
Obamacare has a terminal disease and is very near death.
Just let it die and good riddance.
It’s stupid to save it, like Trump and Ryan want to do, just so Ryan can get $100 handshakes from the insurance lobby while Trump gets to bang out another self-congratulatory tweet.
Do not vote to create socialized medicine in this country for all time! This is our last chance to avoid that. We give in to the left now, there’s no going back.
I do expect to lose on the one trillion dollar infrastructure bill. Trump served notice in the campaign his intentions on that.
I didn't expect to loose on healthcare and a full repeal.
They should take Mo Brooks' full repeal bill, a bill that they have passed numerous times, and with out changing the original wording, they should mark it up the way Trump might want, and they should pass it.
Anything short of that is not repeal.
Anything short of that and you still have this -->
The Freedom Caucus gave us Ryan as speaker; the took the Right To life endorsement and stabbed RTLers in the back by allowing planned Parenthood to continue to use our tax money to murder babies. .
That schmuck Amash did what at first sounded like something from the Onion, and attacked Trump’s travel ban as “unconstitutional.” Now the Freedom Caucus cheerleaders are dumping Amash overboard as an “outlier” Really? Or is he just saying out loud what many Freedom Caucus members believe?
Fourteen of them are NeverTrumpers which is more than enough to thwart Trump’s efforts to save Americans from Obamacare and destroy a lot of what he wants to do.
Collectively the Freedom Caucus took 144K from the Trump hating Koch brothers, $87K from the Trump hating Warren Buffet, $391K from the VERY Trump hating Club For Growth AND over $2 million from health care lobbyist. So what was THAT all about?
Their objection to the repeal bill was spilled by Rush when he spoke while the wind was blowing against the bill (he changes by the day).
He said they were afraid that any changes Price made would be reversed in 2020 by a Democrat president.
This shows they have every intention of derailing Trump and are EXPECTING Hillary in 2020. But that begs the question: If The Freedom Caucus is so concerned about helping us get free of Obamacare why not pass it and then pass into law the changes Price makes to protect the American people from Obamacare?
The answer is: They don’t want to repeal Obamacare anymore than the rest of the spineless scumbag Republicans.
My question still stands: What has the Freedom Caucus EVER done FOR us?
This was the last place on the internet where “conservatism” was considered a real thing. It was still held up as a thing to be fought for.
Oh, conservatism is a real thing. Just not the virtue signalling accomplish nothing variety performed by the kamikaze caucus. I saw real conservatism on my TV this morning when AG Sessions was talking about speeding up deportations. If you want more of that support POTUS. If not, the freedom caucus and democrats are your choice.
And we hollered and stomp our feet that Obama was dividing the country.
President Trump in less than 140 characters just divided the people who put him in office and drove the people away that we trying to support him.
I do think it needs to be repealed officially. Otherwise, it is law that is on the books.
It might implode, but it will still be on the books, and I think that will lead to all kinds of mischief in the future.
So, if repeal & replace is the best I can get, then that is what I want.
I especially want the social intrusion parts to be repealed: Planned Parenthood, death panels, gun control, etc.
The TEXT of ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced with an entirely different text.
> Of course, if it was sent to the floor, it would fail miserably.

> But, hey, let’s not let that incontrovertible fact get in the way of unrealistic fantasies.
Vote. Stand and be counted.
Too many Republicans support ACA. They don’t want you to know.
Was ALL of that in the bill President Trump was going to approve and Paul Ryno was going to deliver? Was the FC standing against this in the delivered bill?
I will answer, NO and NO
How many issues that Trump supports are you in favor of?
How many do you oppose?
Thats an excellent, common sense post. It scares me how many people would rather commit suicide than compromise, even though the conservatives are clearly not the majority and can't get anything passed alone.
It’s in the eye of the beholder.
Trump will say they were there.
If they refuse to ever compromise then it doesn’t matter whether they think their motivations are pure as the driven snow. They are obstructing everyone and especially Trump, from fulfilling his/our agenda.
According to Trump, he doesn’t need conservatives anyway to pass legislation. He’ll just work with the democrats to do it!
Then he can tell everyone how great he is because he put another deal together! (ignoring the fact that “the deal” screws even more americans this time).
Donald Trump: “I feel the need......the need to Tweet!”
You got that right. Reminds me of some history lessons of, well I will not share the date.
If this is true about Ryan, then why isn't there at least an attempted revolt from the HFC, who both supported him for speaker and still do so?
The hypocrisy flying around is breathtaking. If Speaker Ryan is so bad for the Trump agenda, then where is the will in the Congressional GOP to stop it? I hear crickets from the HFC on that point.
Apparently, they want to leave Speaker Ryan in charge and just keep bitching and nothing more. If they oppose what Ryan did, then let them oppose Ryan as Speaker.
I certainly would love to see that, but, like I say, it's apparently more desirable for the HFC (and others in the House GOP) to flap their gums, rather than take courageous action against a Speaker who is ostensibly out to sabotage the President.
So what if they fail? At least they could put the idea out there and argue its merits.
But no. They meekly say "we support our Speaker". The entire GOP House is a bunch of cowards, including the HFC. If Paul Ryan is the problem, then why aren't they saying so?
Obstruction is easy. Let's see some constructive leadership in the House from somebody.
What a load of garbage.
Nothing would guarantee that republicans lose control of congress in 2018 more certainly then betraying the republican base by voting to save obamacare after promising to repeal it for 7 years. People can forgive a lot. They do not forgive betrayal.
We do this Ryan bill and the dems will absolutely sweep in 2018.
Late comers doesn’t mean nevertrumpers.
The idea of the FC being mostly nevertrumpers is not correct.
See post 63 on this thread
Which group is going to be the most supportive of president Trump’s goals? The GOPe or the FC?
We all know the answer is the Freedom Caucus!
Conservatism is indeed truth, which makes your post not conservative. Besides the correct information about Amash that you posted, it’s a streaming pile of BS.
Well, apparently a lot of FReepers including JimRob agree with the FC; do you feel the same about us?
