Jim, the Freedom Caucus voted for Ryan to represent them. Ryan and McConnell need to let any bill come to a vote. Trump can only sign or not sign what he is presented.
If Trump is given the repeal, he will sign it.
Conversely, if he is given Obamacare II, he will sign it.
Do people understand how a Speaker is selected?
A Speaker needs a majority of the whole House. The FC would not vote with the GOP majority to elect Boehner as Speaker in the whole House vote. They had power to punish Boehner in the whole House but not enough to name ANY candidate in the GOP Caucus. Paul Ryan was deemed more acceptable than Kevin McCarthy, and in that the FC was certainly correct.
Yeah, and I voted for George W. Bush twice. He had me fooled. So did Ryan. Ryan, working with that weasel Priebus, shoved this crap forward in a deliberate effort to weaken and discredit Trump. Trump should have asked for a repeal bill, not this ObamaCare 2 junk. Trump is getting bad advice from not only Priebus, but I think Ivanka and Kushner.
Wrong!
Boehner elected Ryan. Ryan is Unelected.
Boeher CANCELLED the initial Speaker vote, then pulled in Ryan as his replacement. Powerful foreign money selects your strawmen.
Ryan will also cancel Speaker votes until he is replaced with another Rino.
So Trump wasn’t out there supporting and doubling down on Paul Ryan and his crap sandwich? Phew...I was hoping this was all just a bad dream.

They voted for him after Trump propped him up. Recall that Ryan was just about out the door as Speaker, then Trump backed him. Why I don’t know, guess he likes the guy, which is troubling.
Oh, and listening to Trey Gowdy talk about how competent he is as Speaker turned my damn stomach. I’ve been fooled by him, too.
Ryan and McConnell need to let any bill come to a vote.
How about voting for a GOOD BILL in the first place—they had SEVEN YEARS!?!
