Don't know if a complete repeal is possible because Congress is a committee and trying to get them together is a real feat. Also, these guys have no loyalty to anything but themselves and they can change their mind on a whim.

I know that a purist would want a complete repeal and a better deal to replace Obamacare. But, sometimes it is better to try and find a better solution than to die on a particular hill.

No matter how this came out, the votes weren't there in any case.

I’m not as happy with Trump as I was

That bill was pure bullshit

Trump is mistaken how he got elected

He like most Yankees is putting more emphasis on the northern factory worker switchover

And less on the near monolithic support he had anywhere whites speak with a southern accent

If we had gotten the vote, the result was the same. There were far more opposed to that bill than the FC, though most of the other GOP members against it were for it doing too much. Had Ryan gotten all them to support him, we would have Obamacare with a GOP ownership tag. The “other two bills” would never have seen the light of day.

I challenge you to prove he’s hard right on anything. He’s gotten nothing passed, for one, and for two he sure did turn left on the one big issue (healthcare). How’s that proof that he’s “hard right” on anything?

this is a VERY BAD idea on Trump’s behalf and it is complete evidence that he is NOT conservative and never has been.

Only fools and idiots thought that Donald Trump was a conservative. He's not. He never has been. He's a nationalist and a patriot. If you voted for him expecting him tp be a conservative you're the one who's delusional.

“...I do not trust any Caucus that supported Ryan for Speaker....”
******************************************************************************
Wow...I’m seeing the meme over and over again. It essentially says that the Freedom Caucus (all of 33 members) out of the 247 Republicans in the House can’t be trusted because they didn’t stop Paul Ryan from becoming Speaker. The over 200 non-Freedom Caucus Republicans in the House apparently had no say and simply allowed the Freedom Caucus to put “their” man Ryan in.

I have not read all of the posts but for those who say Pres Trump is not the boss I ask WHO is? He is in fact the boss, the leader, of this Republic. The congress is elected by voters representing individual states and perhaps it could be said that those citizens are their bosses. I voted for Donald Trump, not a mini govt of Freedom Caucus members. I think their approach to being unappeasable with their demands insured that the bill would not be passed and therefor defeated. I do not appreciate or accept being bullied by a coalition of groups who are funded by special interests who also have an agenda they want enacted. What other legislation does this group have in mind that will be at odds with the Trump administration? They have had their say and now the bill will be reprocessed with or without their help. Being against the Ryan bill did not have to hand the democrats an unearned spectacle to salivate over. GO TRUMP.

Don’t you think there was/is plenty of bullying going on from the White House?

I am not at all sure these guys wear the black hats...

Why is no one upset about the Tuesday Group of liberal/ progressive GOPe Uniparty members—their roster includes Kinzinger, Dold, and had Kirk? I think they are much more harmful swamp monsters than GOP Freedom Caucus.

I’m going to stand up for Priebus.

Until I read Game of Thorns, I thought he was just another GOPer, too. But, what he did behind the scenes to get Trump elected while bucking the party deserves special recognition.

As for the FC, I keep going back to what Reagan said— if you get 80% of what you want, take it. They wanted 100% or nothing.

What I’ll never understand is why Paul Ryan failed to have a bright shiny well crafted bill all ready to sail right through the House after having SEVEN years to get it just right. They already passed a repeal bill. Why not use that?

Lyin Ryan was too willing to roll over for the expected President Hillary. He probably could have cranked out a single payer bill in no time.

But then, Lyin Ryan is married to a multimillionaire Democrat Hillary supporter.

It’s times such as this that Reagan is sorely missed, as he had class and knew how to get things done. Hopefully this attitude of not caring who you offend is not a precursor to many years to come.

“Wow...I’m seeing the meme over and over again.”

Wow, and I just thought of it all on my own anyway. Fact remains, if the FC was really all you & others make it out to be, they would never have supported Lyin Ryan for Speaker.

Btw, your spin mojo is very weak.

Slip-sliding away. He’s heading for another “bankruptcy” (that’s right folks, he doesn’t always make the right moves) thanks to some VERYbad advice.

The US was Bankrupt long before Donald Trump became president. Obama has been running at a significant loss such that Trump will never be able to run in the black even if he wins a second term.

And that's just based on current liabilities. If you take into account future entitlements and liabilities no President stands a chance. It will take decades to get out of the hole even if you could do everything you need to right now,

I hope he realizes 80% of his support and voters are freedom caucus types.

I don't remember hearing about 80% of Trump's supporters supporting amnesty, "free trade," and screwing over the President's agenda by negotiating in bad faith just to screw the President at the last minute.

If the information that I have is correct. When he met with the Freedom Caucus, they voiced their demands and he gave them what they asked for. He then thought that he had their votes on healthcare. The Freedom Caucus then unilaterally changed their requirements without asking or informing Trump and voted against the bill. That is why one of the founding members left the Freedom Caucus. They didn't keep their word.

That's exactly what happened. And when you know this, you understand now that the "Freedom Caucus" wanted Obamacare to stay. Their negotiations were never serious.

The FC saved Trump from a very bad bill

Trump agreed to everything the Freedom Caucus wanted. They then stabbed him in the back at the last minute without even attempting to explain themselves to the President or anyone who was negotiating for him. They did not want to vote on any repeal. They did not want to negotiate. And the whole "purity" thing was a lie they concocted to misdirect from the fact that they want Trump to fail.

IMO, unimaginable.

Easily imaginable when you remember that Trump gave FC what they wanted and kept an open door for them to voice their complaints. Instead, they operated as bad faith negotiators saying one thing to his face and doing the opposite behind his back. They did this because they want the President to fail, which is more important to them than actually repealing Obamacare.

His biggest supporters are Conservatives, less so with Rinos

His biggest supporters are NOT the Freedom Caucus. Want proof? Look at how they "negotiated" with the President. He gave them what they wanted and they still screwed him at the last minute. They wanted the vote to fail.
