Foreign Aid: Something wonderful is happening at the United Nations, and her name is Nikki — as in former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. For the first time in years, the U.S.' new ambassador to the U.N. is an unapologetic champion of her own country's interests within the global body. Reform winds are blowing.
Haley, like John Bolton (Bush II administration) and Jeanne Kirkpatrick (Reagan) before her, is showing the world that she's not content to be a bland, politically correct American figurehead at the U.N. She's making a big difference.
Of course, we knew she would be a good pick from her earliest comments, including those delivered during her confirmation testimony before Congress in January.
Back then, she openly wondered about the value of the U.S. contribution to the U.N., which amounts to 22% of its budget. "Are we getting what we pay for?" she asked.
She also was clear about the U.N.'s extreme brand of politics, saying it was "often at odds with American national interests and American taxpayers."

The UN is worthless and should be abolished. That said, no one is going to close down their own gravey train. Ms. Haley seems to be making the best of the situation. Make everyone pay their fair share. This will shut down the grifter nations.

Have heard her name for years but nothing much beyond that. Sounds like another excellent person to have on the bench moving forward. She clearly has a resume that will get attention and if she does well at the UN then has to be considered a fairly strong contender for POTUS after Trump.
Does she speak well?
Could she survive one of those embarrassing spectacles the MSM refers to as ‘debates’?
