Under extreme pressure from conservative activists, House Republican leaders and the White House have restarted negotiations on legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
But efforts to revive the legislation in the House could take weeks, lawmakers conceded, as Congress moves forward with a full plate of other time-consuming issues. And the renewed push did not meet with much enthusiasm from Senate Republicans, who said they had other priorities at the moment.
Nonetheless, Speaker Paul D. Ryan vowed to renew efforts to repeal the law, despite lasts week crushing setback when House Republicans tossed aside a repeal bill because they lacked the votes to pass it.

A concept that you can't seem to grasp.
For prices to be lowered there has to be a demand, which there is for health insurance, not for electric cars
Not too complicated.
“You can only spend what money is yours, “
Ever heard of a loan?
“Tax ‘loopholes’ allow people to keep their own money.
A concept that you can’t seem to grasp. “
Tax loop holes are designed for SOME to keep their own money diverting the spending into areas the government wants distorting the free market.
“For prices to be lowered there has to be a demand,”
Please do some homework on the supply-demand curve. MORE demand means HIGHER prices.
“A concept that you can’t seem to grasp. “
Try this. It is almost unanimous here that fewer would buy electric vehicles with no tax subsidies and
never mind. It has to do with economics which is WAY over your head.
“Well stated.”
Yeah, well stated, too bad it didn’t make sense.
They got way ahead of themselves on this issue and never should’ve acted on the issue so quickly. I think Trump was focused on the optics of passing it on the day Obamacare was passed. Not smart.
And the GOP has had seven frickin’ years to prepare a kick-ass plan to present to Pres. Trump on January 22. They didn’t do it. Apparently, social events, dinners with the other elites, etc., take up soooo much of their time. It’s inexcusable. It’s embarrassing. We’ve made the Democrats look competent!
“There was very little that was free market in the old system.
It was already perverted by government interference.”
Exactly right and obvious to those of us old enough to remember and not too blind to see. The problems that cba123 thinks were so bad were almost totally the result of prior government meddling. It is standard prodedure, start talking about a problem which is nearly or totally nonexistent, harp on it until you can pass a government “solution” which actually creates a problem vastly worse than any that existed before and then after a few years demand to pass another “solution” which makes it a hundred times worse. Why can people not learn that the federal government grows by CREATING problems while PRETENDING to solve them, NOT by creating any actual solution. Any attempt to create a BETTER federal health care plan to replace Obamacare is doomed to disaster from the start. The only solution is get the feds the hell out of the way.
America needs a Real Repeal, NOT a Ryan “Repeal”.
