simple two-page document, an Alabama congressman has filed a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives to repeal Obamacare.
Or, as it is stated in the bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Huntsville, introduced the bill Friday.
"This Act may be cited as the 'Obamacare Repeal Act,'" the bill states.
And the bill uses just one sentence to do it.
"Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted," the bill states.
And that's it - one sentence.

What’s wrong with your argument is your false premise, that Obamacare is now serving a positive and essential role in the economy.
Based on that premise, you argue that the US industrial base must be restored before we can safely ween off of Obamacare.
If you throw out that faulty premise, and realize Obamacare is nothing but a drain then your argument falls apart.
What is so refreshing about the single-sentence repeal act is precisely the point you are missing: that Obamacare can simply be repealed without any prerequisite or replacement.
Stop wasting everyone’s time with this nonsense about how essential Obamacare is, and how the only responsible way to repeal this monstrosity would be to replace it with an equally monstrous [Blank]care.

THEN after it is repeal AS OF DECEMBER 31st.... The Democrats will HAVE to step up and help with a replacement prior to then, or THEY get the blame :)
I predict:
1. This bill will never make it out of committee.
2. If it does, somehow make it of committee, Ryan would NEVER let it have a floor vote.
3. In LA LA land where this bill get a vote, it will lose by over 400 votes in the House.

This Brooks guy will, in about 4 weeks, vote for a Continuing Resolution bill to keep Soc Sec checks flowing and the rest of the govt operating.
“The rest of the gov’t” includes the funding for illegals in Obamacare, fully funded in any CR.
This guy will vote for that. Watch.

Why should hard working Americans have to work 2 and 3 jobs just to pay for health insurance for themselves AND OTHER PEOPLE?
Because that is what is happening NOW. Premiums are high because we pay for those who won’t pay. We are sick and tired of paying to the point of becoming poor ourselves in order to subsidize others. ENOUGH. The People are beyond FED UP.
Just watch so called conservative freeloaders come out like cockroaches whining about how this bill kills children, women, minorities and elderlies.
If there is one thing that defines Trump’s Presidency, it is this bill. Get it passed. Socialism will be reversed. Then go after so called Social Security, Mediscare, and Madikade. Getting rid of those alone will reverse a CENTURY of creeping communism.

I paid for the Social Security I receive and I paid for the Medicare that I receive. I might add, I had no choice in the matter. However, they took my money, I expect the payments.

He needs lessons on what the Constitution REALLY says! I think he does not have a full understanding, and therefore is vulnerable to supporting unconstitutional ideas, programs, and proposed legislation.
He took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. I think if he got a true education on just how limited the Fed gov’t is supposed to be, that he would be duty-bound to honor it.

Correction, you paid for your freeloading previous generation and they paid for their freeloading priors. Your SS “payments” are not for you but to keep the socialist gubmint’s outrageous ponzi scheme alive. Have no illusion — there will be no so-called security or mediscare or mad-e-care once communism takes a hit.
As far as I know the uninsured do not pay higher prices, they pay at best on a cash only basis which is lower, or they pay nothing at all. The insured are picking up the difference.
Conversly a Bill like this that I can understand. ACA is hereby terminated is laughable, naive and will never happen. Its so transparent what is going on. They make a labyrinth trap us in it. Convince enough of us they got a way out if we follow their way. Then just sit in a dark corner telling us how twisted it all is
