1. Trump himself supported a bad bill. Threw his lot in with Ryan. Strike one.
2. Could have used an EO on a couple levels to stop obungholecare. He didn't. Strike 2.
3. Moving on...wtf? I didn't vote for him to move on. I voted for him to end obungholecare. Strike 3.
We DO know how it will wind up: Exactly as it was planned to end up from the very beginning.
He couldn’t use an EO to end Obamacare. It was established legislation. If he had, he would have been guilty of an Obama infraction we detested.
He did support the bill. I don’t know why. It is not what he campaigned on, because he campaigned on repeal and replace. Replace could mean move to a plan like the Bill Paul is hawking that actually wove it’s way to Obama’s desk in early 2016, one year ago. Ryan is a GOPe RINO. Who didn’t know that? I think he and more than likely Priebus counseled Trump that in Congress and the Senate, this was the only way it could be done. They were wrong. He was wrong to sign on.
You loft your plan, the one that does exactly what you promised. You ram it through and let the chips fall where they will. It would have for sure passed the House, and I think it would have passed the Senate. Ryan didn’t do it. the rest is history.
As for moving on, for the moment yes. It will come up again soon, and if we’re fortunate, the Ryan plan will get it’s opportunity.
No, we don’t know exactly how it will wind you.
Positive people will hold out hope.
Negative people will look for the cloud in every silver lining.
